This week we have a very special guest mix from LA Techno Legend, Developer.

Developer is one of a few active DJ/Producers that emerged from the Los Angeles Techno scene in the early 1990's. After ending his residency as a DJ on radio station 88.7FM kspc in 1995, Developer "Adrian Sandoval" Became the Import & Export Manager of the first dedicated techno distribution company on the west coast " Entity Music Distribution " which distributed top labels such as Axis Records, Reload Belgium, Plus 8, as well as a wealth techno label's from Detroit, Chicago and around the world. 

Over the last 3 decades Developer has played alongside many of the elite techno talents from around the globe as well as taking part in laying a foundation in the LA Techno culture by producing events and exposing various first time international talents throughout the mid 1990's to late 2000's. Developer gained much of his acclaim and extensive performance history from his strong marathon sets and quick programming skills as well as the ability of playing 50 tracks per hour on 3 turntables with effect processor and sampler.

Developer continues to thrive as one of the most interesting techno mixmasters from the Americas as well as the birth of his label Moduarz which features productions and remixes from some of his early contemporaries in Los Angeles as well as a few established and emerging talents from around the world.

In this second installment, our prolific guest elevates the experience by unveiling pieces from his Darkforest label, along with exclusive unreleased tracks and from others well selected, creating an effortlessly captivating delivery.

As a result, nothing less than a mind-blowing mix, millimeter technique, dark rhythms, an elegant transition, and relevant determination that remains firm the State-of-the-art combat chapter from the hand of an expert in underground routines, committed to his own emotional and personal satisfaction and of course, that of his listeners.

The Spanish Techno movement of the 90s has names, one of them is Bernardo Hangar.
Born in Córdoba (Spain) Bernardo is a true veteran of the Techno scene.
He began subduing his style with the explosion of Electronic Body Music, making him one of the most avant-garde and risk-taking artists from southern Europe, and one of the first genuinely underground DJs in our community.

Three decades of living for his music and his personal dedication fostered a special connection with his work reflected in multitude of releases both on labels of recognized international prestige and on his own label: DarkForest

Bernardo Hangar sound is innovative and avant-garde providing an engaging experience into infinity.

This mix is a cosmic, spiraling journey ~ a meditation on movement, intensity, and expansion. SPOKEN102 - Stroef

For the next edition of the mix series, we have the Amsterdam-based DJ and producer Stroef. In 2002, he bought his first two decks, and since 2005 he has been mixing with three turntables ever since. His mixing style can be described as fast and progressive.

His primary influences are Jeff Mills' legendary Tokyo Liquidroom 1995 set and Surgeon's Force + Form album. Later on, harder techno sets like High Heel Techno by Dylan Drazen, but also his more deep house-oriented sets like Carry On and Caught in the Act, showed him he wanted to play different kinds of techno, from Detroit to dub techno and electro.

Through his label Boomstraat 1818, he pushes meticulously crafted and Detroit-schooled productions from himself and his friends. A label that is worth a proper dig to find stripped-back tools and hypnotising floaters.

His mix is an energetic journey, switching up intensity using three turntables and Traktor, with classic records and some unreleased material.

Davo Black es técnica a los platos, dando siempre prioridad a sus sesiones a vinilo que es donde saca su versión más pura, sus sets pueden ser atmosféricos, hipnóticos, o más grooveros, combinando estilos y sonidos de diferentes épocas y formas, pero siempre con la mente en la pista de baile. Sus cierres en reserva-2 ya son un clásico en la zona.

BIO:
Techno hit Japan hard in the early 90s, TAKAAKI ITOH was quickly impressed and intrigued with this new sound. The unique style of beats revealed the gateway to a new world of underground music in Japan - something he had never heard before. In 1994, Takaaki began to organize his own techno parties in his home of northern Japan.

By providing a fantastic lineup, his parties quickly became a success. In 1996, having decided that it was time to start making his own tracks, His Japanese style of techno was pure, unique and underground - nothing that had been heard before in Europe.

His reputation and popularity quickly spread all over the continent. He was becoming recognized as Japan's most underground and respected techno DJ.

As of 2001 he was getting offers to perform at large clubs and festivals all over Europe, like Awakenings, Berghain, Tresor. Promoters wanting him, party people loving him, Takaaki Itoh took the next step and started his own label Wols. Passion led to success and he became recognized as the top of the next generation of techno music.
