Marseille-born and now based in Paris, Hemka has been developing a quality sound in the underground for the last few years culminating thus far in releases for Ellen Allien's BPitch, Ben Sims' Symbolism, Radio Slave's Rekids and TWR72's Float for example. As a DJ she can be found playing on line-ups with Surgeon, D. Carbone, Jeroen Search, and Sleeparchive, or at legendary clubs like Tresor and Rex Club. Opting for a raw, punchy and classic techno style, she always seems to have an eye on working the dance floor, as well as an acute ear for selecting abstract sound design at the perfect time to create an engaging listening experience. Bio:
After being introduced to electronic music back in the early 90's in Los Angeles, a teenage David Flores started DJing across Southern California on the DIY warehouse, backyard, desert, and rave circuit. His style then was as varied as the local scene - a myriad of sounds ranging from house to acid to techno to hardcore. After a few years solely DJing, he began releasing original music under the monikers David F & Audio Injection, which landed him on labels such as Monoid, Stimulus, 4 Track & LA label Droid Recordings. His association with Droid Behavior began in 2003 as resident at the now defunct yet infamous and internationally acclaimed Interface event series alongside Drumcell and Raiz. He currently runs a new event series together with Drumcell and Oktaform named “Observe”.
In early 2011, he started the project Truncate to focus on the deeper, raw side of techno. His Truncate releases early on gained critical acclaim from world class underground talent such as Modeselektor, Ben Klock, Steve Rachmad, DVS1, Luke Slater, Josh Wink, Eats Everything, Joris Voorn, and many more. Since then, he has provided remixes for artists across the musical spectrum including Kink, Slam, Loco Dice, Ben Sims, Josh Wink, Ellen Alien, Miss Kittin, Carl Cox & Nicole Moudaber. He has also released original works on 50 Weapons, Ultramajic, Blueprint, Ei8ht, Figure, Token and of course his own imprint Truncate. He has also collaborated on releases with Jimmy Edgar, Chambray, Catz & Dogs, James Ruskin and with Ben Sims as ‘ASSAILANTS’ Truncate tracks have been featured on Rockstar Game’s Grand Theft Auto and on Vice Documentaries. In 2020, he launched WRKTRX focusing on jackin club sounds, bespoke and from up-and-coming talent.
A rigorous international tour schedule has included stops and regular appearances at the most prestigious venues and events, including Berghain in Berlin, Fabric in London, Concrete in Paris, Movement Festival in Detroit, Womb in Tokyo, Dimensions Festival in Croatia, Awakenings in Amsterdam, Output in New York, and many more.
Truncate has also co-hosted DJs & Beers, alongside Dubfire, Chris Leibing, Radio Slave, and Drumcell. Launched as a weekly video hang during the pandemic, the series tackles topics serious to playful in the spirit of bridging conversation between the various spectrums of techno music and industry. Guests have included Laurent Garnier, Ellen Alien, Carl Craig, Douglas McCarthy, Rebolledo, Benny Rodrigues, Lauren Flax and more.
With his heavy remix, production and touring schedule there is still no slowing down for David. He continues to shape an evolving sound and to champion the Los Angeles underground.

When you consistently perform well, you command respect without speaking a word. ▸ When techno is in your DNA you don't need additional translation to understand it. This is the case of Hugo Rolan, from Asturias, north of Spain, who has been exposed to techno and futuristic sounds since his adolescence, and now in his maturity, he masters the language to perfection.

Being primarily DJing for two decades, remaining under the radar of the scene, working in conventional day job. In his spare time, he learned production skills, delving into music creation software and hardware, and training hard and quietly until he felt it was time to public his work.

The wait worth it, in 2022 his first work was published on one of the most recognized ceiling labels, Warm Up, managed by Oscar Mulero, a interesting debut album, full of techno.

His second reference is released on one of the most important labels worldwide, Axis Records, owned by Jeff Mills, a work that makes us get closer to his creativity and gives us an idea of where his sound is heading.

Facilitating him works on Incense, Legend 1997, Illegal Alien, Nachtstrom Schallplatten, SUB_tl, Prophet, Semantica, FautSection, Abstract Mechanisms, Edit Select, Fenómenos, West Rules, KeyHole, Voyager and Loopaina Records.

Lanna Club's resident, and example of a true techno lover, loving carefully until the right moment puts him in the desired place.

El nombre del momento. Importante lo de su nombre porque cómo ha ocurrido con otros seudónimos misteriosos, su identidad real tardó bastante en despejarse. Se dijo de él que era Richie Hawtin aunque con el tiempo ya ni se sabe cuantos nombres más se barajaron en innumerables especulaciones, Mika Vainio fue otro, pero al final se descubrió que su nombre de pila es Stephan Metzger. Sus primeros cuatro maxis como Sleeparchive - Elephant Island EP, Recycle E.P., Infrared Glow E.P. y Research E.P.- le ayudaron a ganarse el favor del público interesado por el nuevo techno de bajos pesados, salpicado con acid y estructuras complejas para un productor que, pese a su timidez, tiene mucho que decir. Debutó en un escenario en España el 19 de noviembre de 2005 en el The Loft de Barcelona donde por primera vez se le puede ver en directo. Su relación con España se estrechó bastante cuando firmó una remezcla en la séptima referencia del sello de Karlos Phazer y Mikel_e, uno de los nuevos labels de techno de aquí: Cray1 LabWorks.
