Residing in Brighton the solo project Record/Start was created by Simon who records, performs & produces all songs on the worlds most temperamental & cranky recording gear at home.

Simon was the singer/songwriter for Manchester alternative band Carlis Star who performed at SXSW, received regular national BBC radio play, toured nationally and performed at leading summer festivals around the UK. They were featured as a NME Radar band and performed several national NME tour dates including headlining their farewell show at the legendary KOKO venue in London.
