Chris Stussy & S.A.M - Breather

Bassam & ILyes join focus as a new record label is born. The French based artists come as a collective, already affiliated via the Chevry Agency in Paris. Although no strangers to collaboration, their contribution towards the Facemelter VA marks their first track together.

The label being welcomed into the world comes from the team at Ritmo London. Although a relatively new name to the London underground (scene not tube), Ritmo have wasted little time making themselves known. Their podcast series has been showcasing regional talent since it started, transposing into an events calendar that has featured the likes of Silverlining, Voigt.Mas and regular invites to Leeds’ own Reeshy. tendrils drive the beat along.

Driving and infectious, it’s a welcome precursor to Gateway, the penultimate cut and a no-nonsense foray into heads down, hands up territory. Wholesome bass tones collide throughout, prepping us for the glitchy, tech-driven closing saga that is: The Xperiment.
