Undefined 011 is crafted by Triform. He is known from releases on Deep Audio Cuts back in the days and on Desyn's Faciendo. He provides 3 orginals, all different styles what completes the EP.

The first track 'Feels So Good' is a straight party anthem. This old skool tech house track will tear the dancefloors apart. Make sure to play this one at peaktime!

Second track on the A-side is a remix from 'The Loop' by upcoming talented duo 'Young Adults' residing from The Hague. This darker techno approach of the original track is a dancefloor killer!

The B-side starts of with the original 'The Loop' by Triform. The locked groove vibe with a punchy kick and some phat subs will be a secret groover.

The EP finishes with a slow acid burner with a lushious vibe to it <3

Subb-an continues to adapt and develop his One Records label with another EP from long-time collaborators Yamen & EDA. 
 
As per usual - the duo's productions rounds up One Records signature sound perfectly: neatly reduced, modern minimal that doesn't shout too loudly for attention but is highly effective on the dance floor.
 
The 'Joe Kerr' EP is brimming with active, bouncing bass lines, darting stabs and pacy drums. Also included is a remix from the label head himself who sticks a new engine in 'Infinite Diversity' giving it a more potent, gritty drive. Man on fire Youandewan also weighs in with his take on Joe Kerr which interweaves tight stabs and drums with effortless flair - a sound that he's become renowned for and one that does the job on the floor without fail.

The announcement of this release was planned for late February. But, sadly, this February will be remembered for some other reasons. The full-scale war with Russia affected every single person in Ukraine and the Hypnohouse label, which is based in my hometown Lviv and also Kyiv, couldn’t be an exception. DJ 69, the founder of the label, almost immediately after 24.02 started to volunteer like crazy with his Kyiv Angels crew (by the way, one of the best directions to donate money if you want to help). Still, it was said, that they will return to HPNHS004 when they have a minute. I guess, they managed to spare a few secs so we could finally hear this gorgeous compilation, the first one after their inaugural release. For Phonica’s landmark 20th release on the main label we go back to a classic from the same year the shop opened; Stereofuse’s ‘Casino EP’, originally released on Berlin label Salo in 2003.

The ‘Casino EP’ marked the first collaboration between Martin Wörner & Thorsten Diegel as Stereofuse. They followed it up with a string of other 12”s for other labels but it’s this initial 12” that has been fetching high prices second-hand as one of the most sought after releases on Salo and for very good reason. A timeless EP sitting somewhere between house and techno (before tech-house became a disputed tag-line!) with the likes of Ricardo Villalobos & Craig Richards playing it regularly in their sets.

The EP kicks off with ‘Black Jack’, a pacey track which gets stuck in a serious groove. Skittering percussion, short looping samples and a breakbeat-feel in parts. A real tension builder and was a staple in the sets of Daniel Bell for many years. It is followed by ‘Hot Slot’, a techy dancefloor stomper led by a bouncing bassline and some intricate rhythmic patterns. The sweeping sound effects on this are bound to do some damage on a big system!

On the flip is the other killer track on the EP -  ‘Royal Flash’ is an understated and hypnotic minimal gem. The percussion and synth stabs give this track a sense of continuous forward motion whilst the long, soothing pads keep it firmly planted in the ground. ‘Pokerface’ closes the EP with expansive, luscious pads and circling delay, gently underpinned by a deep bassline.

While Thorsten and Martin eventually went their separate ways to work on their own individual projects, with renewed interest in the Stereofuse project this timely reissue could well mark a starting point for future collaborations. This record is also the first in a series of EPs released to commemorate 15 years of the Phonica Records shop in Soho, London.
