RecordMix 044 : Marcelina Wick (Sticky Plastik)

After over four years since their first appearance on our channel, the marvelous SIT duo returns with a 90 minutes sound immersion recorded at Grădina Monteoru a few weeks ago to give us a glimpse of what to expect during Week 2 of the incoming Caprices Festival.

Constantly evolving throughout the years, their work in pairs and as solo acts has now reached the ears and feet of thousands of dancers all around the world, making SIT one of the most acclaimed acts around. Characterized by a minimal-oriented background, Cristi Cons and Vlad Caia have continued nonstop to explore the sound boundaries, now smoothly surfing on more fast and skipping grooves as well as mighty housier themes.

Make sure to not miss them at the infamous Caprices Festival located in the beautiful Swiss alps, in a frame that will make their set even more memorable.

Enzo Leep is on duty for our next Tiedcast with a special LIVE PA almost two hour set featuring all unreleased tracks. With a long discography he has released on Drumma, get physical , dreams on wax, and his own imprint Rewire to name a few.  

He’s knows for his long live sets, pristine productions, and amazing edits getting rinsed across the DJ circuit. This live set will for sure get you grooving with his high energy unique style. 

The first track of the set will be released on our vinyl label in 2023. We’re happy to welcome Enzo to the Tied family. He will have his first US tour this fall after a busy summer in Europe and playing for us in Chicago on October 14th. Enjoy!

Hoje completando o ciclo de 2022 no Podcast, queremos agradecer imensamente todos que ouviram, compartilharam e deram um pouco de amor, para tudo o que fizemos ao longo desses últimos 8 meses, tem sido incrível ler todas as mensagens, ver todo o carinho, e ter a certeza do quanto a música pode reverberar. Temos um convidado muito especial para o último do ano, um presente para todos vocês, ele nos honra em participar aqui. Um cara de puro coração que nos marcou profundamente na sua última passagem pelo Brasil, mais especificamente na cabine do Raww Room no Surreal.

We're back! Today we're ending the 2022 cycle of our Podcast series. we want to say thank you to everyone who listened, shared and gave it a little love, for everything you've done over these last 8 months, it's been amazing to read all the messages, see all the affection, and be sure how much the music can reverberate. We have a very special guest for the last podcast of the year, a gift for all of you, he gave us the honor to participate here. A guy with a pure heart who left a deep impression on us during his last visit to Brazil, more specifically in the Raww Room booth at Surreal.

Born in Bucharest, in the cultural epicenter of his country, he draws inspiration from nature to make music, so it's only fair that he's here with us. A Jazz and Hip-Hop lover  he´s one of the top producers and DJs to come out of Romania in recent years. In addition to pulling all this movement that characterizes the sound of his country, he managed to distinguish himself in a more original and sophisticated characteristic for his work, with organic atmospheres to more experimental arrangements.

Olga Korol's exploration of sound began in Odessa in the early 2000s, where she developed an innate curiosity for musical patterns. Through local grunge and trip-hop scenes, she eventually found her way to electronic music and immersed herself in records, playing at major venues in Ukraine, including the renowned (but now sadly defunct) Kazantip festival.

Best known for her work at the Body Parts label, the platform has showcased music from an astutely chosen range of guests over the years. Now based in Berlin (where she’s been residing for the past eight years), Olga is renowned both for her eclectic and a DJ as well as her ability to pick the right tune at the right time. Never afraid to challenge her audience, she’s a most welcome guest for our Ukraine Series mix, and her mix rounds off the series with serious aplomb. In the endless sea of producers and selectors, only a few leave a lasting impression. They are the niche artists, individuals that push sonic boundaries into new territory with skill, and purpose. Over the last 5 years Silat Beksi has made quite the impression on minimal music lovers across the globe by doing just that. Utilising his own unique combination of rhythms & special imprinted textures to craft emotive and energetically charged pieces of music. This was recognized early on with labels like Romaniaís Tzinah Records, Moscowís Body Parts and Ukranian imprint Mulen Records offering him a platform through which to release and refine his musical style. In 2014 this culminated in the release of Silat's first full length album, with ten wondrously diverse minimalist cuts seeing a digital release on Mulen. Having achieved this milestone, the talented producer dedicated himself to the perfection of his craft with a renewed determination, going vinyl only and launching his own imprint Modeight Records in 2016. Itís a label family that boasts some of the hottest new talent in minimal house and techno, giving rise to producers such as Germanyís Durrrred & Romanian young guns Dragutesku and RQZ. Their intuitive and forward thinking approach to minimalist music is creating sonic ripples throughout the global underground scene, challenging the existing boundaries of the genre once again.  

Fast forward to the present and Silat Beksi has amassed an enviable body of 12î releases on his journey so far. Cementing himself as one of the most inform talents in Europes underground scene with releases on labels like Germanyís almighty Pleasure Zone, Welsh imprint Dreams Are Not Inside, What You Want, Vivus Records and of course his own imprint Modeight. His sound continues to morph and develop, defying classification with it's heady combination of technoís rhythmic sensibility, breakbeat influence and warm atmospheric textures that hypnotise and excite.
