Hailing from a city near Verona in Italy, Francesco aka Distilled Noise is one of the upcoming artists to watch.  You can hear his recent releases on all big festivals this summer, bringing a fresh take on minimal house music with a very danceable and groovy approach to it. He is also a very nice guy who loves to share his knowledge on his well known YouTube channel.  After having him on our Framed012 as a remixer, we are happy to have him back for our next podcast

David Melo aka Melo started his musical career in his native country of Argentina, playing and growing up with instruments and developing his passion for music from a very young age. Melo's move to Europe saw him live in cities such as Ibiza, Berlin and Barcelona where throughout those 14 years, his deep passion for vinyl and the music evolved so much that he landed himself residencies at many of the coolest underground parties in Ibiza where he has finally settled and calls home, not to mention his residency at why.not.club.zanzibar where this set was recorded. Steady in his comfort zone behind the decks, he will surely take the crowd along on one of his groove-filled journeys through the realms of house, microhouse and minimal tech.

Introducing our third Origocast, this time from Floog 
Floog's sets are energy-oriented, featuring melodic, raw sounds that alternate with a more minimalistic approach. With a lot of improvisation moments where the artist feels what's right for the audience and the type of venue.
This is his first-ever DJ mix, as he transitions from live performances to also offer DJ sets going forward. His knowledge and experience in the electronic music scene make for an exciting podcast experience that will bring listeners on a journey through a variety of sounds and styles.

Olga Korol's exploration of sound began in Odessa in the early 2000s, where she developed an innate curiosity for musical patterns. Through local grunge and trip-hop scenes, she eventually found her way to electronic music and immersed herself in records, playing at major venues in Ukraine, including the renowned (but now sadly defunct) Kazantip festival.

Best known for her work at the Body Parts label, the platform has showcased music from an astutely chosen range of guests over the years. Now based in Berlin (where she’s been residing for the past eight years), Olga is renowned both for her eclectic and a DJ as well as her ability to pick the right tune at the right time. Never afraid to challenge her audience, she’s a most welcome guest for our Ukraine Series mix, and her mix rounds off the series with serious aplomb. Emanating from the new crop of DJs and producers surfacing from the East Side of London, Josh Smith has been cultivating his techniques and skill set as both producer and DJ in the Rominimal and Microhouse scene.

His musical craft incapsulates the Eastern European sound and energy with his carefully curated stripped back selection and well structured sets. This is displayed throughout his mixes and production which consists of dark rhythmic undertones, moody ambient textures and organic percussions which contrasts perfectly with those raw punchy basslines.

An artisan behind the dials and the buttons Josh has had multiple records released on household Romanian labels such as ‘Carpathian Sounds’ ‘PhonicHouse1’ ‘The Lab’ to name a few, alongside having featured guest mixes for renowned labels such as ‘Zebra Records’ and ‘Outpunkt Records’ respectively.

As well as his numerous releases Josh is also part of the growing East London collective ‘Select Sounds Ldn’. Having been a member of the crew since the launch of the brand, Josh has been an instrumental figure in the collectives musical journey helping define their London Minimal sound.
