Danish DJ and producer Kvadrant living in Copenhagen. Founder of the Kontakt label releasing music in the genres ranging between dubtechno to detroit chords which have been the main drivers for his musical taste over the years. He is also collaborating with the renowned Icelandic producer @ohm-599575574 under the name "Ohm & Kvadrant" and has released a handful of vinyl releases so far under this alias with more to come. Kvadrant is also hosting the weekly successful TweakFM radio show (@tweakitbaby)where a lot of local and international artists have visited over the years.

@stojche Cvetanovski (born in 1984 in Skopje, Macedonia) is just a regular rebel trapped in the urban chaos of the 21st century. The trigger factor that inspired him, was the local underground techno scene in Skopje. A city described by Derrick May and Juan Atkins as “the leading hub for Detroit techno on the Balkan Peninsula”. The expansion of the motor city sounds in the Macedonian capital and his mania for vinyl records triggered Stojche to explore his path and dig deeper in this futuristic music phenomenon. After a decade devoted to djing, he shifted to producing, and in 2009 he co-founded "argumento-music-group. He is one of the names on the European circuit that broke through with contributions to labels like A.r.t.less, DMK, Conform (@user-751044313), @subwax-bcn, @grounded-in-humanity, @sounds-benefit-records, @freundderfamilie alongside others. In 2011 he launched his solo imprint “Tangible Assets”. An outlet that has given him the freedom to explore and refine his trademark Detroit – influenced dubbed out productions. “Tangible Assets” reflects a personal statement with emphasized appreciation for the techno history. His discography marked him as one of the names that is still pushing forward the timeless envelope of the initial “hi-tech soul” legacy. In contrast, his dj sets provide further evidence of years spent behind the turntables, resulting in pounding journeys with a dose of emotional content. His constant pursuit for inspiration sits balanced with the pulse of the city life. Locked away in his studio in Berlin where passion and process all catalyze into waveforms of intense voyages, executed by a man who is well in tune with his craft.

FR : Si vous êtes fan de dub techno il y a de fortes chances que le nom de Ohm vous soit très familier. Bjarnar en est l’un des meilleurs et plus fidèles représentants. En attestent ses nombreuses collaborations avec d’autres figures incontournables du genre telles que Octal Industries, Kvadrant ou Exos. Non content d’avoir marqué de son empreinte l’histoire de maisons comme Thule, Kontakt ou encore X/OZ il a récemment lancé son propre label où il réunit la fine fleur de la dub techno. Nous n’avons pas demandé à Bjarnar d’où provenait son nom d’artiste mais vous avez peut être noté comme nous qu’en physique ohm est l’unité de la résistance. Bjarnar la mène depuis des années et nous n’avons pas pu nous empêcher de lui suggérer de revenir aux fondamentaux en enregistrant un podcast exclusivement composé de morceaux du passé, une ode à la musique qui a établi les codes de celle que nous écoutons aujourd’hui et qu’on oublie trop souvent. Bon voyage vingt ans en arrière.

Bjanar faithfully represents it, confirmed by his many collabs with other icons of the genre such as Octal Industries, Kvadrant or Exos. Not yet satisfied to have marked the history of labels likeThule, Kontakt or XOZ, he recently launched his own imprint where he gathers dub techno’s very best. We haven’t asked Bjarnar where his artist name comes from but you may have noticed that in physics ohm is the unit of resistance. Bjarnar has been leading it for years and we couldn't help asking him to come back to basics by recording a podcast exclusively made of tracks from the 90's, an ode to the era that established the codes of the music we listen to nowadays and that we tend to forget. We are very excited to share our fourteenth edition of the Equilibrisme Podcast Series. This time we proudly present you : Luke Hess. 

Born in 1980 in Metro Detroit and subject to the city's mid-90's warehouse parties, Luke Hess has harnessed a deep appreciation for electronic music and the expression of the underground movement. 

His background in mathematics and engineering has given him a scientific approach to the dance-floor, using frequencies, tones, and soundscapes to transform surroundings and mood.

Luke's faith based music production landed him a seat with Omar S' FXHE label & Carl Craig's Planet-e label in Detroit. Hess has celebrated original productions and remix material on labels such as DeepLabs, FXHE, Planet-e, Motech, Beretta Grey, Echocord, Kontra-Music, Modelisme, Ornaments, Echocord Colour, & more. 

In 2009, Luke released his first album, "Light in the Dark" on Denmark-based record label, Echocord. "Light in the Dark" received glowing reviews and was hailed by many as one of the best deep techno albums of the year.

With 15 years of DJ experience and many notable LIVE sets across the world, Luke is regarded as a perfectionist on stage. Hess is known to layer his sets in a very detailed, hypnotic, & soulful manner. 
After playing many notable venues & festivals such as Detroit Electronic Music Festival, Berghain & Panorama Bar - Berlin, Fabric - London, Unit - Tokyo, Culture Box - Copenhagen, Bunker - NYC, Decibel Festival - Seattle, Basement - Hong Kong, etc., he is excited to continue exploring the world stage and introducing new and old fans to his raw & deep breed of Detroit techno.

Luke's continued hard work in the studio & behind the decks combined with his unyielding interest in technology and sound will no doubt stimulate the boundaries of electronic music.

We have been following Luke since 2009 and are very happy to have him onboard for our Equilibrisme Podcast Series. Luke also contributed a track for our recent vinyl release “Kraken EP”.

We are happy to present the Icelanding legend OHM. For nearly 25 years, OHM has been on the forefront of the techno scene in Northen Europe. He kept himself busy over the last 7 years, leading to over 20 releases on international labels like Rawax, Thule Records, Kontakt, Vade Mecum, AE Recordings and Andrey Pushkarev’s Luck of Access.

He recently launched his own imprint - OHM Series that aims to promote a mixture of well known dub techno veterans as well as up-and-coming artists.

Above all that, Bjarnar is a dear friend and supporter of the Block3 project and we are excited to host him on our Blueprint Series.
