Grad U is one of those highly regarded Lithuanian artists who is probably turning more heads abroad than here in his homeland. That's the paycheck for his hard work. Aleksandr seems like he is never tired: running his own Redscale Records, pressing vinyl and working on his own hand-tailored techno music... or recording a special guest mix for us.

@octalindustries is the solo project of Jónas Thor Gudmundsson. The project was originally founded in 2003 by Jonas and Mike Sickinger, the founder of the Octal label. The debut release of their collaboration was the Automatik EP on the Transistor Rhythm output. Couple of years later they joined their friend Deep Chord for a shared 12“ release, which today is a quite a valuable gem for dub techno lovers. The three of them joined hands together later that year to create a 3x12“ release undir the pseudonym Spectral Network. The release was quite limited (111 copies) and was considered one of the most interesting 12“ releases that year by many critics. 
After the release of the Spectral Network eps the duo went for hiatus as other projects took over, also as opportunity for musical collaborations became harder as the Atlantic Ocean divides them. Jonas continued working on other projects as @ruxpin – producing numerous releases along the way. 
In 2011 the duo was asked by the French independent label @entropy-records to do some releases. As Michael was unable to participate, Jonas went on solo and worked on a full-length release, which later became Meeting of the Waves LP. Another remix followed for G.R.I.T. which was hailed by dubtechnoblog.com as the best remix of the year 2012.   
In more recent years, Octal Industries has been working on numerous collaborations with artists such as fellow Icelander @ohm-599575574 - and fruits of their work has been released on labels such as @thule-records, Rawax, @luckofaccess, @allinnrecords and many more. 
Octal Industries also released works independently in 2019 an EP entitled Julia Sets on @kontaktrecordscph, which featured a remix from the Detroit legend @mikehuckaby – and his second full-length album Our Seasons, which was released on Vertex in December 2019. 
Octal Industries, although being Icelandic in origin, works and resides in Tallinn, Estonia.

We are very excited to share our fourteenth edition of the Equilibrisme Podcast Series. This time we proudly present you : Luke Hess. 

Born in 1980 in Metro Detroit and subject to the city's mid-90's warehouse parties, Luke Hess has harnessed a deep appreciation for electronic music and the expression of the underground movement. 

His background in mathematics and engineering has given him a scientific approach to the dance-floor, using frequencies, tones, and soundscapes to transform surroundings and mood.

Luke's faith based music production landed him a seat with Omar S' FXHE label & Carl Craig's Planet-e label in Detroit. Hess has celebrated original productions and remix material on labels such as DeepLabs, FXHE, Planet-e, Motech, Beretta Grey, Echocord, Kontra-Music, Modelisme, Ornaments, Echocord Colour, & more. 

In 2009, Luke released his first album, "Light in the Dark" on Denmark-based record label, Echocord. "Light in the Dark" received glowing reviews and was hailed by many as one of the best deep techno albums of the year.

With 15 years of DJ experience and many notable LIVE sets across the world, Luke is regarded as a perfectionist on stage. Hess is known to layer his sets in a very detailed, hypnotic, & soulful manner. 
After playing many notable venues & festivals such as Detroit Electronic Music Festival, Berghain & Panorama Bar - Berlin, Fabric - London, Unit - Tokyo, Culture Box - Copenhagen, Bunker - NYC, Decibel Festival - Seattle, Basement - Hong Kong, etc., he is excited to continue exploring the world stage and introducing new and old fans to his raw & deep breed of Detroit techno.

Luke's continued hard work in the studio & behind the decks combined with his unyielding interest in technology and sound will no doubt stimulate the boundaries of electronic music.

We have been following Luke since 2009 and are very happy to have him onboard for our Equilibrisme Podcast Series. Luke also contributed a track for our recent vinyl release “Kraken EP”.

Slow Dimension (@slowdimension22) is Lou Berlinger's new project. Her productions are the exact combination between the shades and opacity of dark techno sounds with light dubby echoed and filtered chords. Lou has been spinning her minimal, dub and deep techno plates for over a decade and has the opportunity to present her live performance under another alias in Batofar, Wilde Renate, Iboat and Niceto or Cocoliche between 2010 and 2015. Her new project SLD is a live machine which has been presented in festivals such as Paco Tyson, Cultures Bar Bars@44 tours and Scopitone. She released two tracks on @apnealabelpodcast and Insectorama labels this year and is a resident for Ravemaxx on @radiofg with her crew @lostareadub. Lou was honored to perform alongside artists such as Rone, Smash TV, Kate Simko, Anja Schneider, Francesca Lombardo, Alex Kid, Benales, Lionel Castillo, Seph or Microesfera.

Russian DJ Alex Meshkov was born in Smolensk and now resides in Moscow with more than 25 years of expertise. He started his career as a DJ at the "Aquatoria" club in 1996. He eventually rose to the position of resident DJ at the storied underground radio station "Substation," which is still known for the industrially dark ambience of its Saturday morning techno and electro gigs and the dark ambient and trip-hop radio shows he hosted at night.  DJ Alex Meshkov's name is now associated with a significant number of nightclubs and a time in the Russian techno scene. His performances have occurred all over the world, including in Germany, Macedonia, Romania, Switzerland, France, Poland, England, Austria, Serbia, and every country in between.
