These are picks from ED LAMPKIN’s Asian groove crates he has acquired over the years of collecting. Many of them in this mix are from the stock of Baa Records based in Thailand.
These tracks range from pop, rock ,soul ,disco ,jazz funk ,and rare groove from Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, S. Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong.
Hard to choose from so many places and genres but these are tracks he keeps returning to in his listening sessions.
ED LAMPKIN started DJing through a local college/community radio (KDVS) playing and sharing music from other parts of the world that has been influenced by soul ,funk ,and disco sounds. ED has come a long way since then and have even been lucky enough to track down and own the music he would play at the station. He approached this set as a radio playlist, no actual mixing just honest and eclectic selection of music he enjoy. Collecting records and connecting with other people and cultures through music has been one the most fulfilling experiences in ED’s life and it's an honor to bring it back to the source.

Raisa Natalie is one of the Europeans who were influenced by the Amazigh culture in the nineties, and this was the reason that made her travel to Morocco to discover its diverse culture. She settled in one of the cities in southern Morocco, and learned the alphabet of the Amazigh language, to be able to release her first album when she was 15 years old, and it was a joint album with the band Loubaz, which was very famous at that time.
