Angioma returns to Dubfire's SCI+TEC with Waiting EP, a 3 track release that channels his signature blend of groove and hypnotic structure. From the underground to the main stage, Humantronic is a name that's been echoing through the techno trenches for years. Back with more chunky beats than a warehouse can handle, his new track, "Madspace," is poised to send the room sideways.

Frédéric Alvernhe, better known as Humantronic, is no stranger to the scene. With roots in Berlin's vibrant techno hives, he’s been crafting groove-driven anthems since the late 90s. His debut EP, "Kiss of the Flowerman," exploded to #1 on Juno, and he's been making seismic waves ever since. From co-founding the Neopren label to launching Manakacha, this guy's resume reads like a techno fairy tale.

But let's talk about "Madspace." This track is a hypnotic blend of analog warmth and digital precision, the kind of sound that gets the reload every time. Picture this: basslines so glitched-out and chunky you'd think they had a personal vendetta against gravity. It's like a fog machine in audio form, wrapping you in its embrace and not letting go. Melbourne's techno scene comes together with the Solstice EP — four tracks from Common Tribe and Ish Anja, plus a remix from Lost Memories, blending solid dancefloor energy, hypnotic flow, and distinctive vocal work.

Common Tribe, made up of Peter & David, have built their sound around a flexible approach to techno, shifting between darker, driving cuts and brighter, melodic moments, always focused on movement and connection on the dancefloor.

Ish Anja brings her own style — emotive melodies, heavy kicks, and vocals that add character and depth. A consistent presence in Melbourne's clubs, she has supported artists such as Claudio PRC, Christian Smith, Tensal, Eric Powell, and Township Rebellion, refining her sound both as a DJ and producer.

The EP opens with 'Solstice', an abstract, broken-beat introduction that evolves into a rolling, peak-time techno cut with uplifting tension. 'Backwards' follows with a moodier, hypnotic groove that builds with patience and detail. 'Fraction' adds a brighter, melodic edge, perfect for late-night sets, before Lost Memories closes the release with a high-energy rework built for maximum impact.

Solstice captures four Melbourne-based artists combining their strengths with detailed production, strong grooves and tracks designed to connect with the crowd.

Introducing snilluM and the story of his Detour.

A 5-track EP illustrating the breakaway and deviation from a previous direction, compiled with a range of deep, house and electro inspired techno compositions. Taking you on a journey to a place of his you have never been before.

The title record, 'Detour', features a high-sitting harp which drives the track along with the pluck of the tech bass and crisp of the hats. Setting a nice opening to the EP and preparing you for the rest of the journey.

'Sharka' picks up the energy a little more with the minimal-esque rolling groove, joined by an array of kinetic percussion and drum patterns to fill before the slight synth works its way into the breakdown and finale.

The pace is well and truly there by 'Vantage', the third track to the EP and one with a little heavier stomp and emphasis on the offbeat techno inspired unn 'tiss. The pads linger in the distance and work well sitting amongst a heap of glitchy arpeggiated sounds.

'Refresh' hits us with an acidy underlaid bass that filters in and out of heavily delayed stabs, building to more of a funk-fused bass.

Almost like liquid, the wub-roaring crunch number 'Night Train' then brings the release home with the tangled synthesis and trippy elements. Wrapping the whole EP in a bow and showing us the true colour and depth of his productions and what we can expect from him in the future.
