Fairmonts Brothers Keeper EP (BEDDIGI123) was a beacon of creative originality and his eagerly awaited follow-up Scropulus EP unveils another immaculate 3-track electronic collection. The blossoming relationship between Bedrock and Jake Fairley aka Fairmont, the Toronto-based electronic music producer, live performer and DJ, whose inimitable grasp of contrast, dynamic and groove marks him out as a true originator, is exciting in the extreme.

Frozen In Glass immediately bends the ear with its hypnotising looped hooks and intriguing vocal snippets, as it travels away on a steadily pulsating groove dynamic, atmospheric electronic mastery at its finest, with hints of psychedelia to top thing off. Title tack, Scropulus, twists the dial further, delving deeper into dark corners, layering and stirring tense electronic textures to create a highly original, fizzing recipe for the dancefloor. Completing this highly invigorating package, the low-slung, hip-swinging groove of Terminal Z forms the perfect backbone as the track swarms and circles superbly to create the flawless head-melting finale to an exceptional EP.

Having begun his career making punk-rock-infused Techno and Electro under his own name, it was Gazebo (Border Community, 2005) in his Fairmont guise that positioned Jake as a global heavyweight. His ability to fuse well-crafted songwriting with powerful electronic attitude, whilst incorporating seemingly disparate and unexpected elements into his truly original creative palette, continuously drives Fairmont out there, into his own exceptional artist space. In 2014 he commenced DJing as well as playing live and has built a serious reputation and ever-expanding fanbase for his trippy and propulsive sets as he tours every continent on the globe.

'The fourteenth EP of Infinite Depth will give the chance again to a Dutch newcomer in the scene, who goes by the name of Lincklaen. This EP counts five tracks of which 'Synthesis' is the title track. The other two originals, 'Bergen' and 'Amalgam', got respectively remixed by two other new faces on the label: the upcoming Belgium artist Axel Haube and the Dutch Jaden Raxel.

The first track, 'Bergen', is a pretty minimalistic and well detailed track. It already brings the signature synthetic sound of Lincklaen to the front, which becomes more clear through the whole EP. This track is building up the tension towards one sophisticated euphoric moment and let the EP start off with a great feeling.

Axel Haube took the elements of the original and managed to create a more driving remix. In the break the tension is high, which brings you to an unexpected drop. The original vibe remains through the remix and this driving one will come to its right on the dancefloor for sure. 

The title track, 'Synthesis', is that kind of track you won't hear every day. Remarkable trancy elements are melted into a melodic techno track, which creates an euphoric, raw and overall interesting track. As also this one is building up through the whole arrangement, all elements come together towards the end, generating a 'never-forget' moment. 

The fourth track of the EP, called 'Amalgam', let you come down from the title track a little bit and let you float on. Still this one keeps its raw vibe, but the lower end got accompanied by some lighter fluting synths.

In his remix Jaden Raxel brings the trance sound back. Around some signature drums of the original he built a very impressive new lead synth. Through this well balanced mix and arrangement, the remix brings an unforgettable end to the first ever full EP release of Lincklaen.'

Australian born Joe Mattei sets a glistening vision for house and techno in his world, to truly withstand the test of time. He debuts on our catalog with his 2-track EP titled: 'Tabula Rasa' (latin for a fresh start and a new beginning), accompanied by a fresh remix from melodic-powerhouse Alegra.

Influenced by trance and progressive sounds of the 90's, Joe wanted to bring some of these elements in his productions which is clearly evident with his title track 'Inside Out' – a weapon fit for those nostalgic dance floor moments.

The flip side 'Beyond Here' then picks up the dark and melodic direction with great power and precision. Both tracks sculpted for the pure energy, big crowds in mind and that massive outdoor environment that summer brings.

Boy wonder, the magnificent Alegra punches through and delivers a beautifully crafted remix of Inside Out, encompassing all the amazing elements by spinning them in his spectacular way. Layered synthesis and melodies are his game and he works it well.

"Submission marks the return of Gabriel Moraes. A release that really does show how much of a weapon he is through a two-track journey from chug to chunk, packed with heave and destined to please. 

This all-round legend has definitely stepped up his game since Folie, our last release and initial inception with him a few years ago. He now resides in Melbourne and has been making waves across our country - bringing his signature sound and heavy, admirable Brazilian influence to our shores.

His EP opens with the title track Submission, starting only as a workflow experiment and coincidentally resulting in a 6 minute dance floor banger.

This track flows with the rolling bass before the entangled synth takes control and breaks down into something from out of this world… “almost unbearable to maintain, like a rollercoaster with its ups and downs. “

Gabriel then drives it home with the layered textures and breakbeat groove before the final drop, “almost like a phoenix that comes back from the ashes better than it was before it passed.”

Step Out, the B-side - does exactly that - stands up and steps out. This track is packed with a consistent pace and infectious energy from the get go. “A hypnotic vibrant track with a continuous melody that drives the track forward.

The last break is another experiment with programming synthesisers to talk to each other like a conversation, at some point they almost sound like voices processed with vocoders.

We are both very excited and honoured to have the brother Gabriel back on board for this release with us.
