this (to me, right now) has the most warm purpleish blueish bright radiant glowing feeling. Great vibes here. Calm yet mentally stimulating, but not in a cluttered way. Kinda like a mental breath of fresh air, meditative. Very cool.

We have a very unique sound and it is a lot of fun to work on music in a band, as suddenly everything goes 4 times as fast, as 4 brains are working and 4 styles are coming together.
This song was created, as Tot. had sent me a drum synth track which was already epic and dark, when nothing had been added.
So I played a bass line and sent this to Ken and Andrea who immediately came back with their parts, which I then mixed and mastered.

Heliotrope Bouquet is attributed to Scott Joplin and a brilliant pianist/composer, Louis Chauvin (see photo).  Chauvin was reputed to have legendary piano and compositional skills in St. Louis.  He was also, however, a world-class wastrel with large appetites for women, brothels, opium and alcohol; he didn't record or write down his music and died young.  It is believed that Chauvin wrote the first two strains and that Joplin wrote the last two strains and arranged them strains into a coherent (and exquisite) whole.

I'm posting this because it is a genuine privilege to share such a beautiful piece.  I'm just getting a feel for it and will probably post again after smoothing it out further and picking up the tempo a wee tiny bit.  Hope you enjoy!
