I grew up in Palos Hills and my experience there sucked. Having to witness racism and ableism and barely understanding why...

While my father tried to brush my head to keep my hair in waves
I was only 6 thought I made a friendship, just to learn his daddy hated black kids. And I wasn't acknowledged, one day his relatives had come to play
and me in all my ignorance tried to join them on that day.
Introduced myself politely just like my mommy taught me just hear

Scarred and feeling like i wouldn't fit in black spaces.
Eye twitching when a dog fucker calls me Oreo like it's okay...
And the start of all this pain was living at that fuckin' place.
