Simply put, “Refraction Point” is a full-on auric assault on the senses and the physical body. The massive oscillating basslines, the intricately constructed extraterrestrial atmospheres, and the utterly dumbfounding drum patterns that weave betwixt growling glitch. The compositions almost literally speak for themselves, and truly have a mind of their own. This expressively psychedelic monstrosity of sound is a seminal piece for Berkeley, California’s Ben Wyss, known to the interplanetary creatures that fall victim to vibrations as Sixis. It’s been almost three years since the producer has released a full project, and the dedication and devotion that was poured into releasing this one is instantly evident.

“Refraction Point” is critical mass for Sixis. This is a journey through the cerebral caverns of a producer’s mind who is only just beginning to make his mark on music. The extensively thought-provoking ingenuity of each track and the outright dynamism and ebullience that drives each song to its conclusion is almost staggering. This EP from start to finish is a cosmic catastrophe, and that is meant in the most positive way possible.

Agency Artist Disclosure Compilation features cutting edge underground taste through diverse electronic bass sounds stemming from the Street Ritual Agency. Spearheaded by our booking agency, the 2nd Division to the Street Ritual brand, we're repping fresh West Coast to East Coast talent.  Having signed new artists, 2015 has been an evolving journey and we want to welcome our new artists into our creative & conscious community.  A fine visual collaboration of our vision is displayed as artwork, designed by Jeremy Crimboli - an ever talented graphic designer.

The compilation consists of 13 tracks by our agency artists: AfroQben, CharlestheFirst, Devin Kroes, Dov1, Duffrey, KarmasynK, Knowa Lusion, Living Light, Mihkal, Nico Luminous, Party Wave, Secret Recipe, and Sugarbeats. Devin Kroes is an electronic music producer and multi instrumentalist with a desire to awaken and inspire his listeners. Based in Bay Area, California, he seeks to sonically recreate the aesthetics of the world around him with squishy bass and sultry strings. His music seeks to create a sense of familiarity while transporting the listener into the depths of the infinite. He seeks to provide a unique live experience by utilizing live guitar and a looper, allowing him to improvise and making each set immersive and captivating for the listener. LostinSound.org is excited to premiere the @DevinKroesmusic X @ResonantLanguage collaboration "Misty Peaks" from the forthcoming @chillagerecords compilation album Crunksauce Vol. 5  which features 20 different producers' creations covering a diverse range of genres, including artists such as Wu Wei, The Digital Connection, Spoken Bird, Secret Recipe and more. 

"Misty Peaks" is reminiscent of an early Emancipator production, but with a full dose of trip-and-drip-hop. Devin Kroes' reverberating acoustic guitar swirls in and around psy-breaks built by Colorado's Resonant Language.  The result is something beautifully cinematic and gripping that pours out slowly from the speaker. 

Chillage has been supporting the releases of west coast bass musicians for a number of years, and this fifth installment of their Crunksauce series was the first time they opened submissions to the public. Tunes from established producers and a handful of fresh faces fill the 19 track release. Chillage is releasing three tracks each week in various outlets before the March 29 official release date.

For the fourth year running, Gravitas Music is proud to present the fourth volume of the Virtus In Sonus compilation. The selection of songs spotlights a slice of Gravitas’ massive pool of international talent, including tracks from Mr. Bill, ill-esha, Psymbionic, Of The Trees, Unlimited Gravity, AMB and more. A myriad of electronic genres are represented throughout, with the influences of downtempo, glitch hop, trap, and hybrids thereof. Although the 16 tracks showcase a healthy variety, there is still distinct flow for the duration of the track listing; beginning slow and dreamy, the pace progressively shifts to a more danceable momentum before ending on a somewhat somber tone.

'Beyond The Shadows' is a unique collaboration that was produced by Inspected artists KOAN Sound, Gemini, Culprate and Asa during a special studio session in order to raise awareness for this great cause. The resulting track is an emotive and dynamic fusion of the artists' sounds that weaves live and electronic elements into its dense textures.

Every song I repost, deserves a full listen through, otherwise, you may miss the reason I reposted it. 

If all the music you listen to sounds the same, whats the point? Music that is different, unique, original, experimental or even weird. Will hold anew value. Even if it isn't something you traditionally enjoy. It should have more of an impact, than something you DO like; That sounds the same as everything else!
