 This mix i made today is a teaser for the radioshow i'm starting at fnoob.com. Starting at the 16th of february i will do a show every 4 weeks from 7 - 9 pm GMT.  In this mix i try to show what kind of music i'm aiming at. Mainly the darker and dancefloor side of techno and minimal, but also melodic techno, dubstep and drum and bass. I will always use a blend of old, new and unreleased tracks in my show.

Silicone Soul's Darkroom Dubs label has pulled off quite a coup with their latest release. Taking a retrospective look through the labels' archive, the duo approached some of their favourite producers, asking them to rework and give their own take some of the music from previous releases... and boy are we in for a treat!

The coup in question was the securing of the talents of a certain Mr Robag Wruhme. Currently enjoying the acclaim generated from his exquisite long player, "Thora Vukk" (Pampa), Wruhme has kindly turned his attention to remixing Extrawelt's "Neuland" for Darkroom Dubs. The lead track from their 2010 "Neuland" marked a key moment for the label, as Silicone Soul celebrated the signing of an act that they had admired for many years. Robag provides not one, but two reworks of the stunning original, each as impressive and moving as the other. 

The second rework sees John Selway turning Filippo Mancinelli & Allen May's "The Hills" on its head. The deepness of the 2009 original, is still in evidence as the atmospheric sounds sweep within Selway's wonderfully driving tech reconstruction. Impressive stuff indeed. More please!
