It's not often that a music producer has such a convincing approach and perspective on sound. Inofaith searches carefully for his own sound, and takes on the experiment with his debut 12'' ‘Dawn Is Late’ released on the Dutch Shipwrec label. 

This EP features the tracks ‘Dawn Is Late’: a very orchestral, deep piece with a very welcome 2-Step kind of beat. It follows up with ‘Girls Go To Bed Early’: which illuminates a more synthetic depth of the release. The subtle resonance on the synths brings the track alive. The other side of the record starts with the enchanting, yet uplifting ‘Twelve Hours’. You realise you are getting caught in the music when the feminine voice kicks in and lets you drift in circular patterns. The final track is called ‘Nocturne’: calm as the title may seem, it's the most energetic and glowing track of the EP. Inspired by the atmosphere of dusk on a spring evening, it closes the EP with some cinematic movements.

SCHWEFELGELB - Wie die Finger durch den Nebel

Schwefelgelb is the electronic music project of Sid & Eddy. Having carefully straddled the boundaries between Techno, EBM and Electro, the duo is entering 2016 with a 12” release on the new label incarnation of the Berlin based Fleisch collective. Fleisch consists of a group of miscreants known for throwing some of the best curated dark underground dance parties in Berlin, with a focus on sounds ranging from E.B.M., new beat, acid to techno. The metamorphosis of Fleisch into a label could not demand a more fitting debut than Schwefelgelb’s newest sonic discharge. Tight programming, catchy analog synth-bass coupled with well utilized & frenetic shouted vocals echo the golden age of Electronic Body Music. A refreshing progression of sounds moves the style forward without being afflicted with the formulaic and hollow tendencies befallen similar attempts by others acts over the years.

Scuba - The Hope

Sara Sayed cools down the pace with a track that Erasmus Montanus would be proud of. While the Finnish singer-songwriter’s bold first steps into production could be compared to Euclydian geometry, they’re more like the fit of a comfy slipper on a tired foot after the club. At times both surreal and shadowy, dreamy and full of space, we hope it’s the shape of things to come.
