Commissioned by Danish performance group Hotel Pro Forma to write the music for their opera based on Charles Darwin and his book 'On the Origin of the Species', The Knife decided to make this a collaborative process, working with artists Mt. Sims and Planningtorock for the first time, to capture the huge width of the Darwin and evolution theme.

Sober Motel

On September 14th LA duo Sextile will release their EP titled '3,' the follow up to 2017’s 'Albeit Living'  & early 2018’s “Current Affair” single. A press release states: '3' places the band's sound somewhere between DAF and Gang of Four, but it's that tinge of futurism and the observations of the current political climate that steer them right to the present. 
The EP announcement news and lead single, "Paradox," premiered on August 7th on Peak Time, Red Bull Radio's daily new music show.
