As someone who can look at the world as an outsider looking in, I see too much separation. Amplified by recent worldwide events 
As much as this attempt to create division by the media, politicians corporations ect has worked I see that it has also brought people together in ways we couldn’t even have imagined before. Love conquers fear every time.
I’ve recently been inspired by people I would never have even heard of before. Charles Eisenstein, Aubrey Marcus, Zach Bush to name a few.
These guys have shown me there is a different path from the one of separation that seems to be currently falling apart before our eyes.
 I for one am tired of being scared looking at some dystopian future and choose to see this as an opportunity to wake the fuck up before it’s too late!
Anyway I hope you enjoy this release, I’m sorry for going off on a tangent but I think it’s important to talk about these things in a non confrontational way.

“Be Together” is the first single off of 2econd Class Citizen’s album “unlearn”. It is available digitally as well as a limited vinyl postcard in collaboration with Postmanslove.

A few more notes about the upcoming album: 
Unlearn is the long awaited fourth album of DJ and producer 2econd Class Citizen. It marks the artist’s return back to the newly relaunched label Equinox Records. Their previous collaborations achieved high acclaim for their genre bending fusion of hip hop, electronica and folk to form a cinematic journey which is full of twists and turns.

Unlearn is an exploration of an artist journeying beyond their conventional confines. It is a musical adventure peppered with vintage samples concerning the perception of reality and our struggles with conforming to a broken society.

Gathering together a large group of 14 top-tier seasoned sound designers, Hey! That’s What We Call Pads, vol. 1 contains 240 presets and is the first soundset in a series that explores a singular category of sound. In this volume, pads are in focus and the synth is Serum.

All the pads you hear in the demo above (34 in total) are single presets played straight from the soundset, with no additional effects used. See the preset list below.

Sometimes you create a journey you like so much you play it for two different crowds. Even though there's many ecstatic dance DJ's doing this, for some reason it's still a taboo and thus DJ's are not transparant about it. But hey, no shame in my game; I stand behind whatever choices I make.

That being said, one of my goals is to gain enough confidence to play more intuitively each time I perform. How amazing would it be if I dare to play a set completely unprepared, to create the journey live, fed by the energy of the dancers. One day! 🙏🏽

'changing the game' debuted at PLAY! Zwolle the 3rd of February - it was an amazing evening with divine feminine energy filling the dance floor. Then, the 10th of February, I decided to play a similar set at Ecstatic Dance Leiden. This was a special evening for me, since it was exactly one year after my first gig as an ecstatic dance DJ. 

AND!!! 🥁 At the end of 2023 my creative partner and I will release our EP. Together we form a creative duo named 'Venus: the Future'. The third track of this journey is a first instrumental sketch of 'Prophecy', which is the opening track of our EP.
