After the release of their debut album „Bury Me In Vegas”, the six guys of Eskimo Callboy would never have thought, not even in their wildest dreams, that one year later, they would play an almost sold out show in gambler’s paradise, Las Vegas. But let’s start from the beginning... 

In Las Vegas, on the last date of tour, the band lived up to the album title, played a breakneck show and almost missed the plane that took them straight on the next journey, the famous “Full Metal Cruise”. As the only Electro-Core act they entered the decks and stages of the cruiser ship and not even the die-hard metal fans were left cold. 

In the following months Eskimo Callboy stormed the stages of the main open-air festivals like Open Flair, Reload, Serengeti and many more. At an impressive tent-show on the legendary Wacken Open Air one could even observe the marriage proposal of a fan to his beloved on stage. 

While the band was already back in the studio in the late summer of 2013, to continue the work on the follow-up to “Bury Me In Vegas”, an invitation to the Metal Hammer Awards was in the mail. The band traveled to Berlin, stumbled over the black carpet and won, completely surprised, the acclaimed Metal Hammer Award in the category “Up and Coming”. They took it as the well-deserved salary for the unbelievable last months. 

There is no pause for Eskimo Callboy, the band doesn’t rest on its laurels. While working on the second album “We Are The Mess” they supported Callejon for another time and played in Belarus, Russia and the Ukraine – this time in sold out venues. While the songs were written all of the six musicians were sure that the growing expectations wouldn’t prevent them from doing anything they want. The band returned to its roots, what only means that they recorded in their own studio with great fun and under the influence of a few drinks. They again conquer every musical border and poach unimpressed in all genres. 

For Eskimo Callboy “We Are The Mess” is the perfect continuation of modern, danceable guitar music, which is also perfectly presented in their first single. You can jump, dance, mosh and cuddle. The range of their musical style goes from club hits like “Final Dance”, designed for the very last party of your life, over to “Broadway’s Gonna Kill Us”, a make-out song in a gloomy outfit, up to “Voodoo Circus”, a lightning-swift song including the deepest moshpart that was ever written… 

With their sophomore Eskimo Callboy take another big step forward. Their sound mixes a lot of danceable riffs into a catchy brew, that is garnished with mean breakdowns and deep shouts. From one second to the other the listener is catapulted from the glossy disco dance floor into a sweaty moshpit and a few moments later he finds himself in a nightclub where he gets another shot at the bar.

With the release of their debut „Das Monster aus dem Schrank“ (Redfield Records) at the end of 2008, WE BUTTER THE BREAD WITH BUTTER set the foundation for their incredible evolution! Even then the band was leading the MySpace Charts for weeks and now they have a fanbase with over 35.000 fans, predominantly from the USA. No wonder since their album was - among other sources - available at the well-known Hot Topic stores. The success led to an entry at #42 on the US-iTunes Charts (Top Releases) in the week before X-Mas 2009.

The highly anticipated second album „Der Tag an dem die Welt unterging“ was released worldwide via Redfield Recods on May 14th 2010. Which sounds like a typical flowery phrase in the music business can be documented with currently two million plays on the band’s MySpace-page. That’s how many listeners the two new album tracks had after only 48 hours! Plenty enthusiastic comments show the high expectations of the fans. 

Musically, WE BUTTER THE BREAD WITH BUTTER present themselves and their Deathcore more diversified than on their previous full-length. “Der Tag an dem die Welt unterging” was again produced opulently and on their own authority and contains a lot of powerful breakdowns, nasty growls and pig squeals. Beside thunderous guitar parts and powerful drums ('3008'), the tracks have consistent electronic parts and strings ('Schiff Ahoi'). WE BUTTER THE BREAD WITH BUTTER, which have grown from a duo into a complete band, present themselves more mature, blast the speakers with heavy, catchy Rock-riffs ('Oh Mama mach Kartoffelsalat') or even invite you to dance ('Der kleine Vampir'). When WE BUTTER THE BREAD WITH BUTTER sing the German nursery rhyme "Alle meine Entchen", it doesn't sound like swimming pleasure with a sweet yellow rubber duckie, but powerful 'Battleships' in the Baltic Sea!
The duo from Lübben in the East of Germany has focused on the highly idiosyncratic dubbing and covering of children's well-known songs. Blast-Beat attacks from the drums scrap the lovely melody of "Backe backe Kuchen", buried under tons of sludge-heavy riffs and driving the song with full force and dark growls against the wall.
At the end the audience is stunned before the ruins, alienated and wondering what evil the two gentlemen of WE BUTTER THE BREAD WITH BUTTER must have encountered in their childhood. Maybe they were bathed too hot when they were young,  the rest we prefer not to know...

"Why, in Death or Grindcore as a sterotype, are you only able to think about energy and Mosh-Pits. Why not forget all the conventional guidelines and the essential elements such as melody or modern influences?"  
After Tobias Schultka and Marcel Neumann asked this question, We Butter The Bread With Butter was born. They've achieved this with modern electro-melodies, embedded in heavy-sludge riffs and a really perfect Deathcore voice, a sound structure to create, what in this scene, is almost unique.
After only one year there was such a tremendously interested fanbase structured, that the two students decided to record their debut album in the summer of 2008. Even though they are just two band members, We Butter The Bread With Butter isn't just a project. For half a year the band was in the upper half of the Myspace Top-10-charts not only because of the 5,000 + daily profile views. Even the requests from the U.S. were increasing daily.
The band have plans to release their debut album in 2009. With the amount of ideas these 2 gentleman have, it might even be a double album act. Which then, should eradicate idea of it being "just a project". You may be curious what the two guys from the Spreewald still have in store...

Categories are part of the business, but now and then they can be just time-consuming. You can claim that ANY GIVEN DAY from Gelsenkirchen, Germany can be related to the sub-genres new age metal, metalcore and deathcore. It’s also save to say that their sound unites low tuned, energy loaded, hard-lined heaviness with enthralling melodic parts and an impressing vocal performance. But what you also can do is to describe their style as down-to-earth as the band does and “just leave it with metal.” ANY GIVEN DAY set the very normal, daily madness to music. Rough and unadorned! Straight in your face! Just metal. 

“Home Is Where The Heart Is“

For almost a decade the five musicians from the heart of the Ruhr Area had known each other and were able to gain experience in different formations of the metal- and hardcore-scene on their way to ANY GIVEN DAY (EXTINCTION PROJECT, BUTTERFLY COMA, THE MERCURY ARC, HORUS PREVAILS, MY SECRET PLAN). When they finally got together in spring 2012, it soon became clear that the band wouldn’t be just another project: “We are like brothers. Friendship and the passion for music are the fundament of the band ANY GIVEN DAY.” 

“My Longest Way Home“

On September 5, 2014 ANY GIVEN DAY started their biggest offensive to this date: their – by a hardly earned fan-base – long awaited debut album saw the light of day! “My Longest Way Home” is the result of an intensive songwriting process and was made in cooperation with Aljoscha Sieg from the Pitchback studios (MARATHONMANN, ESKIMO CALLBOY, VITJA). 

Right after the release, ANY GIVEN DAY set sails for the – by EMP presented – “My Longest Way Home”-release tour and showcased their new album on four acclaimed concerts in Munich, Stuttgart, Berlin and a show in Dortmund, that completely sold-out ten minutes after the box office had opened. And when the guys were informed, on the way home from the last gig, that their debut would enter the Germany Media Control album Charts on position 28, euphoria broke completely loose. Even though a certain success had been on the horizon, ANY GIVEN DAY got totally surprised by the staggering response of both the album sales and the voices of the press and of course their fans. 

On “My Longest Way Home” ANY GIVEN DAY generate their very own and direct language. Without any hidden political agenda, the band puts the everyday life in the center of attention and turns the supposedly small subjects into big ones: “Stress within the family or friends that turn into enemies, trouble with the boss or bad luck with love. The ordinary things that everyone of us has to deal with.” Just metal.

With only 37.000 inhabitants on 160 square kilometres, Liechtenstein is the smallest German- speaking country in the world. But as the saying goes: The best things come in small packages – things in the principality might not just get stormy but also loud! The post-hardcore/metalcore band TAPED was formed in 2009 by frontman Finlay Sky Davey and drummer Tiago Spagolla Ritter at the age of 14 in their hometown Liechtenstein. Even though the band-members weren´t born there (except of guitarist Kevin Negele), they spent most time of their lives there.

„For us, Liechtenstein is the best place to grow up and to live in. It´s very safe here, so we already walked to Kindergarten alone at the age of five or six“, singer Finlay Sky Davey remembers. „The landscape we are surrounded by is awesome: Many mountains and forests, warm summers, cold and snowy winters. Very beautiful for everyone, who loves nature“, he continues. „Because the country is very small, everyone knows each other. Sometimes it´s an advantage, sometimes it´s a disadvantage.“

After releasing their EP „Never Back Down“ on Redfield Digital in 2012, TAPED will release their debut album „[EMPIRES]“ via Redfield Records in 2015. On their album, the band takes a closer look on who they really are and what they want to represent. Sooner or later everyone gets to the point at which he realizes that life is not that easy and that is what TAPED stands for: Carry on, when life is at its worst. It´s about team spirit – their „Wolfpack“, about the war people wage against themselves, the fears that come along with it and about the social principles they are often keeping up with.

„Our lyrics are mainly about self-fulfilment. We want to tell other people that everyone is on his own – but in a positive way! Everyone can make headway and follow up his goals. Some ways are more exhausting and more difficult to pass but you’re the only one who can fight for them and finally prevail. If you fail on something as a person, you always have to ask yourself, if you really did everything to reach your goal“, says Finlay.

For their debut album, TAPED come up with something special: You can get the CD in an exclusive, limited box that is made of spruce wood from Liechtenstein. The handmade box includes a handwritten, sealed up letter and a set for planting a tree that consists a bottle of water from the Stegersee, a box with soil from a forest in Liechtenstein, beech seeds and a candle. The box also includes a Guy Fawkes mask and a sticker pack. 

For „[EMPIRES]“ TAPED invited David Beule from VITJA and Bobby Stein from COYOTES as guest vocalists. In the last years they played shows with bands like ESKIMO CALLBOY, VANITYS FAIR, ALL I HAVE, HATEBREED, ENTER SHIKARI, BREAKDOWN OF SANITY, THE SORROW, TEXAS IN JULY, COMEBACK KID, ATILLA, THELL BARRIO, A TRAITOR LIKE JUDAS, ALL FOR NOTHING, ALL FACES DOWN, TO KILL ACHILLES, DEAD DREAMERS and ALL THE SHELTERS.
