Mid May 2018 Kolkata witnessed a massive storm leaving behind a trail of destruction which many in Kolkata could not cope up with. The aftermath led to huge property damage in the slum areas and had made several citizens completely homeless. This catastrophe has uprooted them leading to seek refuge in shelters or depending on generosity of their friends.
Amidst such an utterly hopeless condition few devastated residents of Kolkata called up RJ Praveen on his Morning No.1 Show requesting for help.
We got local councillors of various areas to pledge that they will get the houses in their areas repaired and got a listeners house built from scratch.
Umeedon Ka Repair aimed to help people in re-building their lives!

The declining air quality of Kolkata has recently topped the national air pollution survey.  Amidst the growing air pollution crisis we took it upon ourselves to educate Kolkatans about the repercussions of their daily activities- ‘Jald Sheher dikhai nahi sirf sunai dega’! This tagline was further highlighted by Onair contests where autobiographies of Kolkata monuments were played and listeners had to guess the place. Winners got spirometers, an instrument to check one’s breathing capacity. Promos were in the lines of people using GPS service even while walking as nothing would be visible soon. Carpool habit was initiated by jocks where listeners travelled with jocks. On-ground LED hoardings showcased the deteriorating visibility of the city landscape as the years go by.

Extensive on-air voting was conducted where the listeners majorly agreed that water is the most wasted resource in Kolkata. In many parts of Kolkata free flowing water from KMC pipes get wasted everyday as there are no taps attached. To solve this problem RED FM and M. P. Birla Cement and decided to fix taps/ ‘nals’ on such water pipes. Apart from onair awareness, wherein it was highlighted what can be the repercussion if water goes missing from our lives, listeners were asked to vote for areas where this problem was prominent. In shortlisted 30 areas taps were fixed on the KMC pipes and a branded cemented milestone was installed which promoted the campaign motto ‘Jal Hai Toh Kal Hai’!

From 3 Lac followers RJ Praveen now has 3.3 Million followers on Facebook just for Red Murgas! April 2019 till now- Red Murga videos have 1100 MILLION Minutes of viewership!! The objective is to make it extremely entertaining and engaging. These pranks are a perfect combination of impeccable planning, viral hook-points, additional characters and most importantly, RJ Praveen…he is the perfect example of ‘expect the unexpected’! He is extremely candid which is the ‘X’ factor in all Murgas. Innumerable Red Murgas have 50 Million+ reach! Recently we started Bengali Red Murgas on Youtube. From September 2019 till now- 1.2 MILIION hours watchtime & 255.2 MILLION impressions! Red Murga is original digital comedy content which is the fastest growing in India!

PRAVEEN KA RED MURGA

The idea of the Headphone Show, Red FM’s most awarded property, is to make listeners experience a 3D audio documentary that can be visualized with the effective use of audio engineering. It’s a combination of RJ Praveen’s engaging narration and real life sound packaging using special sound techniques.
On the 20th anniversary of Kargil War, an episode of the Headphone Show was specially created for Indian soldiers and was exclusively played to them at The Eastern Command of the Indian Army!
200 army officials were given individual audio players with headphones via which they experienced the Headphone Show commemorating the heroes of the War.
         Letters sent by our listeners thanking the soldiers were also read out by RJ Praveen.

THE HEADPHONE SHOW WITH PRAVEEN- KARGIL WAR

Community Service- voluntary work or to raise funds for a cause! Truth and Hair changed this definition for us completely. Inspired by a 7year old girl- Titir who donated her hair for Cancer Patients, RJ Praveen started the campaign- TRUTH OR HAIR! Praveen’s video with Titir became viral in a day-4.9+Million reach. It proved that if you really want to make a difference, age or monitory strength is definitely not a barrier. We associated with ‘Cope with Cancer’ NGO and urged listeners to donate 12 inch of their hair. Onair promotion and talk by cancer survivors led to 350+ people registering. Our very own RJ Thiya was so inspired that she shaved off her long hair without thinking twice.

TRUTH OR HAIR

The yellow taxi music project is a platform that brings folk music from various parts of the country to one stage. In its second edition, the folk perimeter was extended to an indie edit featuring rustic Rajasthani and Gujarati folk and an alternate edit featuring music from the majestic North East. The Yellow Taxi Music Project Promo amalgamated the spirit of traditional folk with the soulfulness of North Eastern music. The promo seamlessly incorporated best of both Indie and Alternate edit while keeping the local flavor intact. It beautifully conveyed the message and painted a perfect picture in listener’s mind. The sound of these promos was a perfect blend of contemporary and modern which left a lasting impression on listeners.
