Greetings friends,

I have been blessed to have found a ton of inspiration musically through Castlevania lately, writing and conceiving a great deal of new spec themes set in this world. Again, drawing from the tone, instrumentation, and style of what I feel is definitive Castlevania music—a sort of hybrid of Castlevania, Simon's Quest, and Symphony of the Night—I wrote this piece and am now sharing it with you.

This style of music that I create, is heavily influenced by the retro-'90s feel of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. I am very much trying to recapture the spirit and tone of the original SOTN soundtrack with these types of compositions. Thank you for listening.

Inspiration:
Throwback Castlevania-inspired piece, drawing inspiration from the tone of both the Simon's Quest OST and the Castlevania: Symphony of the Night OST. As you can see by the other tracks with this type of instrumentation and feel, I love recreating this vibe through original music.

Inspiration: I wanted to explore a certain vibe from Castlevania: Symphony of the Night—in particular, the underground caverns level. I always loved the way Michiru Yamane made the soundtrack for this section very dreamlike with the way things were mixed, and the use of reverb in the drums and piano.

There is a really nice heavy breakdown in here, where it heads into epic, Deep Purple territory unexpectedly before finding its way back into the main themes.

Inspiration: One of my favorite games of all time is Castlevania 64. The atmosphere, tone, music, everything—just incredible. The annex theme was always a favorite and I wanted to draw inspiration from that piece with my own composition here.
