An artist whose sharp rise has seen him gain plaudits from a host of the industry's biggest names, UK-based talent Wheats burst onto the scene in 2019 and hasn't looked back ever since. Now an artist very much at the forefront of the UK's surging wave of rising DJs and producers making an impact on the global scene, late-March welcomes a debut outing on Solid Grooves as he reveals the bumping and infectious 'Bizzi'.

Armed with hefty kicks, slick metallic drum licks, and rolling low-ends alongside an infamous hip-hop sample at the heart of the production, 'Bizzi' offers up a peak-time cut set to do some serious damage across returning dancefloors across the globe in the months ahead.

This is the lyrics to the song 'Crazy' produced by Sam Shelby, this producer from Rondônia - Brazil, it is a true find of Red Paradise, his productions quickly won us over!

'Crazy' is a beautiful production, its well-worked groove with 808, lots of synths and a fun acapella that will dictate the rhythm of the dance floors!
The B side of this EP, has a collab between Sam and Oldbass, the song is called 'Space Dance' and follows the same rhythm as 'Crazy', and to complete we still have a remix made by D-Tek another master when the subject is low frequencies, low frequencies are the key point of this EP, which being its pressure is so strong that we can even confuse it with the pressure of a meteoric impact, maybe Sam Shelby really is a meteor about to impact our ears with his production!

UK DJ/producer SOSA lands on Jamie Jones’ Hottrax this May with a bumping house two-tracker ‘The Wave’. 

Following releases on Cuttin’ Headz, Solid Grooves Raw & Sola, not to mention his own imprint COCO, Liverpool-based SOSA arrives on Jamie Jones’ revered Hottrax imprint with ‘The Wave’, bringing a dose of fast-paced, bass-heavy house music for his debut. 

Title cut ‘The Wave’ sees swung, intricate percussion dance around heavy low-end pressure, introducing hyped vocals and sizzling risers throughout the track for pure dancefloor pandemonium. Flicking between bouncing, syncopated basslines, ‘Warp Speed’ wraps itself around chunky percussion and vocal samples for a thrilling conclusion to a high energy EP. 

With supporters like Alan Fitzpatrick, Skream and the Martinez Brothers as well as love from Danny Howard, Pete Tong and Annie Mac, SOSA is at the vanguard of a new wave of house producers set to dominate in 2021 and beyond.

Imagine Island is ready to receive new faces. The time has come to liven up the party with two producers who joined together to provide us with great moments.
Turn your eyes to Canada, today we have the debut of a duo of producers. Dopecreature and Michael Beggs have teamed up for a Collab EP containing 3 tracks.
We started the EP with the song 'Night by night', right at the beginning it has a lot of percussive elements and an acapella that repeats itself from beginning to end. The bass is intense and right after the second break you will have a distortion of reality a second before the fall, marking the return of the groove.
Then we have the song 'Bola' which brings us a melodic atmosphere accompanied by an engaging groove that reminds us of the rhythm of the tribal house with lots of percussion, the duo's trademark.
To end the EP we have 'Gotta Have Game', a song with a darker but fun atmosphere. In all tracks of the EP we were able to identify the characteristics of the producers who tried to produce solid and lively songs.

‘T2’ marks the return of Toolroom’s collaboration concept album. 

‘T1’, released back in October 2015, was an album of new and exciting collabs from Toolroom’s roster at the time; celebrating our artists’ talents and challenging them creatively.  

At the height of lockdown in 2020, with our artists in isolation across the world, it felt like a good opportunity to bring back the series - and also help raise money for Covid-19 relief funds, with a percentage of profits going to charity. 

This time, we picked the collaborations totally at random. Drawn out of a hat by Mark Knight on a Facebook Live broadcast, 36 artists were paired up into 18 new studio partnerships.  Pairings like Amine Edge & DANCE and Maxinne; Alex Preston and Siege; Mat.Joe and Ben Remember; and Juliet Sikora and KC Lights, have resulted in the fusion of different styles, influences and ultimately an album of fresh and essential exclusive tracks. 

‘T2’ features 18 brand new tracks, with some out-of-the-box experiments and sure-fire bangers. Testament to the power of creation in isolation, and the unexpected magic of new collaborating artists at the top of their game.

The Wizard of Oz, the man behind the curtain, the OG label head, Jeff Doubleu is back!

Whether it's looking after his kids, programming a sub pattern or even just having a beer down the pub, Jeff gets it right. Blending inspirations from Chicago, fidget and Dutch House this EP is truly unique and true to his sound.

This EP is a pillow fight disguised as music. 'Eyes Open' has swinging hats, face bashing synths and an irresistible groove which has you begging for more. As you go screaming to mummy, the B side hugs your sensitive side while shining a light on Jeff’s amazing drum work - a slightly more minimal approach to his usual sound, which compliments his ability to write great club records.

We feel it's important to continue to release music from the founding fathers of this label to really showcase how our different sounds come together as one. Whether it's from Kyle's crazy bass structures, Wongo's wacky synths or Marc Spence's unforgettable drums, there is a happy medium that makes Box of Cats what it is. Jeff shines brightly with this one as he demonstrates his skills as one of the most badass producers we know.
