VP Records is proud to release the new single from reggae/dancehall veteran Busy Signal, “Got to Tell You” from his upcoming album Parts of the Puzzle. Out this Friday April 26th on all digital platforms, the self-produced and self-written track is a high energy dancehall track laced with EDM.

“Got to Tell You” follows the success of his recent string of singles, “Stay So”, “One Way”, “Dolla Van” and more. With hit after hit, Busy Signal has established his talent and staying power in the industry with his versatility in blending dancehall and reggae with EDM, afro-beats, salsa and other international sounds to create hardcore bashment anthems and transcendent global hits.

Reanno Gordon P/K/A Busy first burst on the dancehall scene as part of iconic deejay Bounty Killer’s Alliance crew over a decade ago, establishing himself as a major factor in the genre with his breakthrough hit “Step Out” and an album by the same name. Successive projects like Loaded and D.O.B. further showcased Busy’s outside-the-box lyrical displays and eclectic ear for rhythms and, in 2012, he went back to basics with Reggae Music Again, an all-reggae set selected as one of the Top 10 albums of the year by the BBC.

In addition to solo work, Busy has enjoyed a fruitful partnership with Major Lazer, who featured him on their 2013 international smash “Watch Out For This (Bumaye)” and “Jump” off 2017’s Know No Better EP, as well as on the title track from No Doubt’s Major Lazer-produced album Push and Shove. A remixed version of “Jump” can be heard in Bacardi’s “Dance Floor” commercial campaign currently airing on TVs across North America. A pioneer in the fusion of dancehall and Afro sounds, Busy Signal has also cultivated deep ties with Africa, frequently visiting countries such as Zimbabwe, Uganda, Malawi, Kenya and Gambia to perform. Wallace Wilson a.k.a. Red Rat was born January 17th in St. Ann’s Bay. Red Rat’s debut album "Oh No....It's Red Rat!" quickly became one of Greensleeves Records’ greatest selling albums.  This made him the first artist on the label to hit “Gold” status, with hits such as "Tight Up Skirt", "Cruise" (featured in the movie 'The Big Hit'), "Big Man Little Yute", “Love Dem Bad” (featuring Buju Banton and “Wriggles”) to name a few. In 2017, Red Rat recorded a track called “Higher”.  The “Higher” track quickly gained traction topping over 21 million streams on Spotify. “Higher” was licensed by Zumba due to its high-energy vibe and catchy hook. In addition, Red Rat in 2017 and collaborated with Puerto Rican singer, Jori Boy on the “Para Mi” track.  He also worked with EDM producer Eva Shaw on “Dat Girl” which was released in 2020, and began exploring a new market. Now, Red Rat is focused not only on his artistry but also writing and production along with his partner Pascalli, together they started Mogul Beatz collaborating with artists across the world in various genres, from Pop, Afro Beats, Hip Hop, Trap, R & B, Reggaeton, Dancehall and also EDM. Their first project together is the “Kwarantine” riddim featuring artists such as Ding Dong, Bay-C, a former member of the group TOK, Tifa, Pascalli and of course Red Rat himself. Red Rat is an artist, possessing the kind of greatness that ensures that his individuality is different from all the rest!
