“From Lockdown to Lift-Off” is one of the most personal pieces I’ve ever written. I started it as a way to process everything we’ve all been through since 2020 — the isolation, the confusion, the loss, and eventually, the hope. I didn’t want this to just be a timeline of events — I wanted it to feel like what it was to live through that stretch of time.

Each verse walks through a different year: from the silence of empty streets and masked faces, to the chaos of misinformation, to the slow, painful process of rebuilding what we lost — in society and in ourselves. It’s not just about COVID; it’s about everything it shook loose.

The hook came to me during a late night where I felt completely stuck — mentally, emotionally — just staring at the wall, remembering that version of myself and so many others who had no idea when or if we’d feel normal again.

This track is for the people who made it through, even if they’re still healing. It’s a time capsule, but also a reminder: we survived something historic — and we’re still here. That means something.
