UNDERHER and Midnight Workouts come together for a superbly emotive new EP on Kindischthat also features a remix from Fulltone.
UNDERHER was formed by Khaled Bess in 2017 after many year on the techno scene as ‘Kalden Bess’. Originally from Tunisian he has become a leading light from his hometown of Montreal and has
remixed and worked with artists such as Moby, Booka Shade, U2, Maya Jane Coles and many others. His sound mixes the emotive and melancholic in perfect fusion and has seen productions extend beyond the dancefloor, with his music featuring regularly on leading TV and film. Meanwhile, Jay Saccone and London singer-songwriter Georgie O joined forces in late 2015 to create Midnight Workouts. Fans of their emotive deep house grooves and cinematic tones include Claptone and Audiofly. Just before the pandemic hit, they put out a fine LP on German Brigante's label Manitox, and now continue their good form.
Superbly atmospheric opener 'The Cure' is a dubbed out and cavernous house roller. All that open space allows the angelic, sensuous vocals and pensive pads to really sink in as the rubbery drums roll on and pull you in further. 'Up To You' is another carefully crafted track with tender vocals that make an indelible mark. They ring out over the deep but icy beats as yawning pads convey further emotional pain.
Remixing is Egyptian artist Fulltone, whose diverse beats, sounds and melodies all come together into something organic and innovative. He has worked with All Day I Dream, Akbar and L'Enfant Terrible
and goes super late-night here. His spine-tingling pad and vocal whispers are delicately layered into a soft, emotive house groove that makes for a majestic listen.
As always with Kindisch, this is a high-class EP that works on a deeper emotional plane.

It’s a late summer night in Berlin’s Wedding district, the colored lights strung above softly illuminate bars and many patrons enjoying the last gasp of the warmer days. He messages he’ll be there in just a minute – he lives very close. He visits this bar often he says. It’s easy to see why. Moments later, a young blonde gentleman approaches the table and introduces himself as Nils Hoffmann. He sits. He has a story to tell.  
“This is a gift, many people don’t have that.” Nils came up in a strong way in the early 2010’s with ‘Balloons’ catapulting him into the top shelf talent of the scene and solidifying it with his gripping live shows – at just 17. “There is no barrier to do music in our time… what sounds good is good and there are many ways to share your music with other people online.” 
Now he’s got releases with Poesie, Anjunadeep & Ki Records, collaborations with Ben Böhmer and a remix for Kidnap coming up, safe to say he’s kept busy. He cites his prolificacy to his keen organizational skills and hearty work ethic coupled with his raw drive to achieve more. Even so, Once in a Blue Moon is the fruit of a 3 year labor; leading and shaping the artist just as much as he does the music. This the story of that journey, a collage pieced together through time.  
The Album itself wanders through many directions emotionally, always carrying with it a warmth and sense of hope. Diverse collaborations are scattered throughout, with touches from artists like Ben Böhmer, Khaen, Max Joni and more waiting to be discovered. Stylistically, the album drifts wonderfully in the delicate space where deep house and leftfield pop meet. Nils’ production talent holds everything in the club domain while haunting vocal lines from the likes of Ida Stein and Margret dip the album in a delightful pop glaze.  
Nils shares his perspective, “All in all this album is in its entirety how I wanted it to be and how a good album should be in my opinion. It's not very effective to release an album in the times we live in, so when I do an album I want it to be as personal and as magical as possible. An album that decides itself when it’s ready and takes its time until not every missing piece of the puzzle is there. Something special. Something that happens 𝑜𝑛𝑐𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑎 𝑏𝑙𝑢𝑒 𝑚𝑜𝑜𝑛.”

Accomplished collaborators El Mundo & Zazou work their magic once more on a pair of superb new tunes for Kindisch.

El Mundo has been in the scene for 20 years, firstly as a DJ in his hometown of Nijmegen before building an international reputation alongside Satori. Once he moved to Berlin, he hooked up with Zazou and found some real musical kinship which led to releases on various fine labels as well as the birth of his Quetame label. Meanwhile, Zazou is an instrumentalist at heart and every new track he makes is based solely on analog hardware: synths, drum machines, samplers guitars, and effect pedals. He has done it all from downtempo to tribal to deep house and impresses again on this new release.

Their first tune is 'Speed Of Sound,' a gorgeously deep house cut with a lullaby-like main melody that could be a long-lost brother to Booka Shade's dance classic 'Body Language.' Here the chords are paired with a lush guitar line and rolling bassline that is sure to get plenty of parties under its spell. Add in whispered vocals and you have a subtly standout tune. 'Sleeping In The Rain' picks up the pace with a more angsty house groove, textured hits and raw guitar riffs. It's a unique mix of sounds and styles with a subversive filtered vocal floating high above as the lush chords help elevate your mood.

These are two delicate but devastating house tracks.
