Influenced heavily by the works of J.R.R. Tolkien, Redshift’s Mirkwood EP provides a coherent journey through dark, twisting woodlands filled with mysterious creatures. Although the journey is perilous, the adventurers all return, with tall tales to tell of talking trees and ancient cities. Mirkwood represents a detour from Redshift’s exploration of the realms of Science Fiction and a foray into the territory of Fantasy - a return to the pages of the many novels that provided countless hours of escapism. 

Eschewing the boundaries of humanity and the interplay with technology, instead the focus is inwards on more fundamental, internal and uniting aspects of experience, intending to facilitate connection via a shared journey!

If you want to go far, go together.” We feel the urge to make a positive impact on our environment, especially with what we are confronted with today. We heal Mother Earth by uniting humanity. This is why we would like to get involved by contributing 20% of this release’s profit to reforestation actions in partnership with Ecosia, to combat deforestation in the Amazon rainforest caused by economic and political undertakings, in the fight against climate change.

Last year, Brazil lost about 310,000 acres of high-biodiversity forests.
Today, it could be experiencing the worst fire season in a decade with a 17% deforestation increase since 2019, threathening wildlife and indigenous communities.
Don't forget that forests are the ones keeping our planet healthy, and us alive.
