Ida Daugaard(@ida-daugaard)(Berlin, Germany) is the next artist of the Podcast Series by 118 BPM Rules. Well known dj from the north of Denmark, that has played at festivals and clubs all over the world. Africa Burn festival (Cape Town), Moulin Rouge (Paris), Proposition (New York), Odd (Milan), Lightbox (London), Mainstage at the Mysteryland (Amsterdam), Decibel (San Juan, Puerto Rico)or Cosmique Room (Istanbul)between many others. 118 BPM Rules has talked with her:

118 BPM Rules: What are your origins, where your artistic career started? And the most important ¿When did you noticed that music was more than a passion for you and that you wanted to dedicate yourself entirely to this profession?

Ida Daugaard:
I'm from a little city in Denmark called Aarhus. In Aarhus I went to my first warehouse rave in 2005. Walking through the door I fell in love with electronic music and everything around it. And yea, ever since that day I have always had a profound love for the twisted dark dancefloor.

I bought myself Pioneer 800 Cdj players and played for fun at home. I recorded some Mixtapes, and soon after the clubs started to contact me for gigs. I never made a plan to become a full time Dj, it's something that have just happened naturally over the last 7-8 years. 

118 BPM Rules: Talk us, about your sound as producer and dj.

Ida Daugaard:
My sound is trippy, groovy & minimal. And I love to play it slow. 

118 BPM Rules: Producer or DJ, ¿What you most like?

Ida Daugaard:
I have only been producing for 1 year, so i'm still learning. 

118 BPM Rules: What are your influences?

Ida Daugaard:
In my late teenage years I was very inspired by old rock like Joy Division, The Smiths, The Cure, Patti Smith, Kraftwerk & 80's synth pop like Depech Mode as well as late 90's names like underworld. Today i'm getting a lot of inspiration from romanian artist like Raresh, Praslea, Radu Mirica, Rhadoo & Barac. And listening to other Dj's play. The last mind-blowing set's I heard was from Christofer Henn & Cem Orlow, very inspiring! 

118 BPM Rules: Speaking of others upcoming projects, how it looks? What other interesting projects can you share with us?

Ida Daugaard:
I'm very excited to go to Zurich this Friday to play for Kasheme, that is an amazing online video stream channel. Here I will be playing a very chilled slow and experimental set for a crowd sitting down. It will be a very different experience :)

118 BPM Rules: Which is the city that you enjoy the most in the world, and why?

Ida Daugaard:
I have decide to live in Berlin, I love this city. It's full of art & good music.

I'm living my dream, travelling the world, doing exactly what I love & feel like.

5 Jahre schon?

Man glaubt es kaum. Gelebte Physik, denn diese kleine Tatsache zeigt uns, wie relativ Zeit ist. Uns scheint es, als sei unser kleines Baby erst gerade entstanden. Und auch wenn wir nicht eine hohe Release Frequenz aufweisen, stehen wir voll und ganz hinter jedem einzelnen Release, den wir entscheiden und suchen uns Sachen aus, wo wir finden, dass diese ganz fest dem Sinne und dem Gefühl von Tante Frieda entsprechen. Wunderbare Freundschaften wurden geschlossen und mit fantastischen Freunden widerspiegeln wir auf Frieda Musik das, was uns jedes Wochenende antreibt. Heute Nacht kommt ein neuer Freund dazu: Mark Alow aus Alicante. Bei vielen wird es jetzt bei diesem Namen nicht klingeln, doch der noch eher unbekannte Spanier erstaunt und überzeugt uns schon ein Weilchen. Seinen knackigen, treibenden, teilweise dubbigen und hypnotischen Sound entspricht genau dem Gusto unserer geliebten Tante. Nur logisch, dass wir ihn unbedingt in unser schönes Wohnzimmer einladen mussten. Auch sind unsere Potsdamer Freunde wieder zu Gast. Ordinary Subject kriegen es immer wieder hin, eine schöne Welle aufzubauen und diese endlos lange zu halten. Darum dürfen sie sich die ganze Nacht im Salon austoben, wie sie möchten. Begleitet werden sie vom einzigartigen Mastra, Henry Sure und den beiden Label Honchos Don Ramon und San Marco.

Denis Safiullin (Unbroken Dub) is Russian musician, DJ and a representative of the HOT WAX team from Tyumen. He began to show musical activity in 2007, the first major result of which was the release on the RAWAX label.
Initially, this label has been focused solely on the release of Denis’ music, but later on it published other artists such as Neil Landstrumm, Matt Star, Jordan Fields, Unbalance and Alex Danilov. Being a big fan of soviet analog synths and of all kinds of experiments with samples, Denis managed to achieve originality of his compositions, and enlist the support of many members of the club industry around the world. Thus, in 2012, he made his debut on the famous Dutch label Delsin with Checkpoint EP released on vinyl.
