On a snowy morning in 2016, a good friend and I were driving from Gardiner, Montana, a small town near the North entrance to Yellowstone, up to the city of Bozeman, when the car we were driving hit some black ice on a lonely mountain pass just south of Livingston. The car spun off the highway, barreled down a hill, blasting through a fence and into the water.

This is a song about that experience.

Billy Shields is currently a Western Massachusetts-Based musician, originally from Brookfield, Connecticut. 

He has spent the majority of the last decade farm hopping in the Emerald Triangle of Northern California, sleeping on beaches and hitchhiking around Hawaii, backpacking around the World, and traveling around the United States in vans and RV’s.
