Tech house originals Spincycle were part of the movement that created the 00's tech house sound. Producing for Low Pressings, Surreal, Oblong and their own labels Geek & Coin-Op, their releases are much sought after these days, fetching top dollar on Discogs. . Spincycle have DJ'd around the UK & Europe and after some time away from the decks they are joining us at bubble.ldn.

Known more for his impeccable taste in wax than his words, Palace Vinyl’s behind-the-scenes wizard and assistant janitor, Just Alan, steps into the spotlight — and absolutely crushes it.

With a crate full of deep, groovy house cuts and an instinct for flow that DJs twice his tenure would envy, Allan delivers a mix that’s equal parts soul-soaked and dancefloor-devastating. This isn’t just a set — it’s a journey through smoky basements, sun-drenched rooftops, and everything in between.

For the third installment of our mix series, we bring in London based Heaven Lee. Poppy recently joined us to grace the decks at our starlane shindig alongside the legendary Spincycle!

A relentless digger with a sharp ear for groove, Heaven-Lee is drawn to the sound of the deep, rolling rhythms of 90s and early 00s House and Techno, unearthing forgotten gems and rare cuts that bring a timeless energy to her sets. 

From groovy House and bouncy breaks to timeless Tech-House rollers, she never fails to bring a raw nostalgic energy. One of the next generation of DJs keeping the ethos of the old school alive while still bringing the freshest new underground music out there.

The fourth installment in our mix series sees London’s own high-flying supercar enthusiast, Sean Galvin, take the wheel! Over the past decade, Sean has scoured every corner of Discogs, unearthing rare gems along the way. A true digger at heart, he credits RPR Soundsystem, Ricardo Villalobos, and Onur Ozer as his primary inspirations, having followed them across the globe since he was just 17.

With sharp mixing skills and an impeccable sense of style, Sean delivers a romper stomper of a tech house set that’s nothing short of sublime. Do not sleep on this one!

We’re buzzing to welcome our good friend John Shabot, to the mix series. Fresh off an unforgettable set at our recent joint collab party with his own imprint, Buffet London, John brings that same distinctive flair to this recording.

As co-founder of Buffet and one of the minds behind Hackney Wick’s beloved canalside spot Two More Years, John is no stranger to the London underground scene. A true crate digger with a sharp ear for groove, his vinyl-heavy selections are always rich with character and movement.
This mix is no exception – it's a journey through rhythm and texture that’s sure to get your feet tapping and your body swaying. Dive in, turn it up, and let John take you for a ride.

Originally from LA, John grew up in the underground warehouse party scene in Seattle in the early 90's. A drummer and an avid fan of all things musical with early influences by the rhythm sections of classic rock, hip hop, ska, industrial, avant garde, the west coast dance music sounds of Jeno, Garth and the Wicked crew. Drawing inspiration from the early Uk tech house pioneers and a member of LA's The Coastal Commision and ex vinyl peddler from Beat non Stop,  John Kimble started playing and collecting records in 1994 and remains faithful to the  craft of long seamless mixes to create a unique sound and a hypnotic listening experience.

Hailing from the home of house music - Hebden Bridge - now an Amsterdam native, Tom has been digging around the dusty corners of deeper house since the mid 90's. Influenced by Back to Basics in the formative years, then living in London through the golden age of tech house and now dipping toes into production, Tom brings hypnotic, timeless, deep emotional grooves to the Bubble series.

Milo G is an avid digger and one half of @nightriders, Miles dives deep into his tech house collection for this mix. Inspired by his party days at Birmingham’s legendary nights Below and Cloak and Dagger, expect driving grooves and infectious energy guaranteed to get your blood pumping.

The Tunnel has always been our favourite room at Just Jack, so being able to play there twice on the final party was pretty special. This particular set was before Luke Una, who’s become one of my favourite DJs over the last few years, so there was definitely a sense of pressure to get the vibe right and hand over the room in the right place.

What I wanted to do was balance a nod to the past with something that still felt fresh. There are a few dojo-era throwbacks in there – low-slung, sleazy house bits,  alongside some of my personal favourites from the last decade. But the main thread running through it is acid. That sleazy and rolling that still has enough groove and oomph to hold the floor.

I was conscious that Danilo Plessow  was in the main room so I didn’t want to try and out disco him, but  Luke was coming on after me, so I wanted the set to keep its eclectic edge but still drive forward. Id like to think that some of the newer bits kept it interesting, tracks from the likes of Thomas Jackson, Chez, and The Revenge – mixed in with some classics to give it balance.

Overall, it was about creating something that felt like a proper closing of The Tunnel. A nod to 20 years of Just Jack, with enough new ideas to keep it interesting, and a room full of dancers to hand over to Luke with.

We have now reached double digits with our tenth installment of the bubblecast, this one delivered by Chris Hanks AKA The Shadow. Chris appeared on our radar after attending our June Party at No90 with Adam Collins, Grant Dell & Residents. 

Hailing from Doncaster, Chris delivers us with an insight into his broad record collection with an infusion of old deep, dubby & driving dancefloor orientated grooves of old & new.

Jake has put together a timeless journey that showcases his signature low-slung, bass-heavy sound. Digging deep into his collection, exploring the darker, dubbier, and more atmospheric corners of house music.

This one’s a true lesson in groove from a selector who knows how to keep things raw and rolling.

I was lucky enough to get into the tech house scene in my teens with Guff and Fay. Fay’s mum, Jan, was a prominent figure in the scene, so we were allowed to tag along. Wiggles’ 2nd birthday was one of the first parties I went to, and we all fell in love with the music and the scene. We also went to Tea Party, Heart and Soul, Whoop Whoop, and pretty much any party that was happening.

A friend had a set of old belt drive decks, so I started having a go with his records. I began collecting records myself and eventually got my own set of 1210s. I used to pester the DJs to find out what the records were, then head off to Swag a few days later to try and find them.

To cut a long story short, we became friends with Dave after overhearing him in Swag saying he was stuck for a lift to a gig down in Plymouth. He knew us as the youngsters who were always trying to find out what the records were 😂. Guff offered to drive and we went with him. I got to play one of my mix tapes on the way back and he loved it.

Shortly after that, I got my first real play at a Kerfuffle all dayer courtesy of Liz, followed by a residency at a truly underground scene called Teeth Out Productions after they heard me playing at a squat party the same weekend. I went on to play at Whoop Whoop, Peg Party, and Electro Lounge, to mention just a few.

Me and Guff also had our own night called Cavort. In the early 2000s, I started working part-time at Swag for a couple of years and was pretty much playing somewhere every weekend. I took a back seat from the scene when the kids came along, but I kept all my records from that magical time.

My favourite DJs were The Usual Suspects, Dave Mothersole, Richard Grey, Terry, Nathan, Eddie, Grant, and Bob De Rosa. I took inspiration from anyone I listened to really that was the great thing about that time, because everyone had something different to offer.

She is a founder and resident of ‘Atypical’- a club night which has been pushing the Bristol’s music scene forward with fresh bookings never seen before in Bristol such as Vlada, Z@P & Ogazon. She has already made her mark on a number of prestigious platforms including Gottwood Festival, Resident Advisor, Fuse, Hidden, Stump and her recent trip to Mansions in New York City and Rio Hostel in Colombia. Her passion for music for all things house and techno had seen her share the stage with artists like Zip, Vlada, Rhadoo, Nicolas Lutz & Dj Masda.
