Very excited to share with you examples of the sort of music I'm describing as "Medieval-Folk-Fantasy" that I'm going to be performing to for themed Weddings and other events, Banquets, LARPing events etc :) Sets will be a mix of music from and inspired by: Fantasy Gaming, and Fantasy Films/TV/Books. Also, plenty of music from and inspired by actual Early Music from centuries past. Emphasis will be mostly on a 'folk' / 'tavern' feel rather than 'royal / courtly' music. You all know the sort, you hear it in the background in films and games all the time! Some will be entirely instrumental and some will include lush vocals which I'll improvise over. As with my Irish, Folk, Rock, Pop etc, I'll be using backing tracks and performing / improvising over these on Fiddle, Flute, 'Celtic' Whistles or Recorders. There'll be all sorts of historically / genre appropriate instruments in the backing/accompaniment, such as Harp, Hurdy Gurdy, Lute, hand Drums! Thinking of getting a variety of costumes to suit so it's going to be fun!! Who wouldn't want to spend a day as an Archer Elf or a Tavern Barmaid?! Some live recordings of me doing this stuff from event sets will follow at some point asap
