When you’re aiming to energise your playlist while connecting your brand to top songs, consider the use of power intros! Sky Radio in the Netherlands received these branded hit songs.


Power intros are memorable

“Power intros are excellent tools to claim your ‘A’ category songs as a part of your station’s brand”, Thomas Giger of PURE Jingles explains. “Distinctive branded intros that have been repeated often enough will stick in people’s minds. Chances are they will associate that great-testing song with you.”

This strategic branding value can also translate into ratings: “Hearing the normal version of that song, even on another station, listeners who know your power intro will often hum YOUR station name along the melody of your branded version. It’s one of those miracles of audio branding! Sung melodies are memorable, research shows.”


Branded intros work everywhere

“In diary-measured, recall-based markets, your station can get extra listening credits as people may THINK they’ve been listening to you - while it may actually could have been a competitor. Especially when the other station doesn’t have their own power intro version or doesn’t precede the song with imaging.”

Branded intros also add value to PPM-market radio: “Power intros are contributing to higher top-of-mind positioning. And just as important: they’re flow-friendly. Dropping the imaging on the song, instead of in between two songs, helps to achieve forward momentum. Short jingle cuts work well too, especially in front of ‘no-intro’ songs.”

NRJ has launched a brand extension that premieres in French-speaking Belgium. NRJ+ (‘NRJ Plus’) plays 90s and 00s hits.

With the Backstreet Boys and the Spice Girls going back on stage, it goes to show how beloved these decades are. Nicolas Fadeur, program director & brand manager for both radios, sees NRJ+ as the ideal channel for the Game Boy generation.

“We try to select songs that make you want to dance, that put you in a good mood or that bring back memories. Throughout the day, listeners will be accompanied by NRJ’s personalities. They’re all between 25 and 35, so a part of our audience.”


Upbeat & vibrant

NRJ+ was looking for jingles that would fit their upbeat character as well as their vibrant playlist. “We’ve made a selection from the collection of NRJ jingle packages from PURE. Their team has customised those cuts for NRJ+ perfectly.”

TM Next December 2023 Highlights

Here are the updated ReelWorld One CHR jingles for Mix 93.3 (KMXV/Kansas City, MO), which they're using alongside many older themes (including many that they've used in 2022).

All jingles were recorded from the stream between Sunday, March 17 and Tuesday, March 19, 2024. The montage is arranged in chronological update order, and the updates themselves range from March 2019 to May 2023. Enjoy!

The seventh package in the series spanning two decades (and the eleventh to use the KIIS-FM logo), KIIS 2024 has musical influences of their incredibly successful past three packages while continuing to push their legendary three-note logo into the future. Like its recent predecessors, it consists of 12 main themes (each in its own musical key); beds for news, traffic, weather, and promos; and two stylish top-of-the-hour themes.
