NPO RADIO 2 DEBUT NEW REELWORLD SOUND

The biggest radio station in the Netherlands, NPO Radio 2, is heading into spring with a brand new on air sound from ReelWorld.

The custom jingle package features 17 newly composed themes as well as news and utility elements.

Head of Imaging at NPO Radio 2, Guido Sprenger, said: "For Radio 2 we were looking for different imaging that really connected with the music that we're playing and the diversity of sounds and voices that define our station. ReelWorld surprised us with jingles ranging from Motown to Grunge, from sounds like The Weeknd to Fleetwood Mac. Together we constructed a sound that is unique and extremely recognisable."

The creative also includes a series of innovative ‘mash up’ mixes that combine Radio 2’s diverse playlist within jingles and talk over beds.

The new sound is part of a long term partnership between NPO Radio 2 and ReelWorld which will see them create further updates across the coming years.

The MediaCityUK based production company with its roots in Seattle, USA, continues to develop the new sound for BBC Local Radio in the UK as well as RTE 2fm in Ireland and enjoys successful partnerships with Europe’s biggest broadcasters.

NPO Radio 2 joins the long list of European broadcasters using ReelWorld jingles and imaging that already includes Heart UK, NRK P1 Norway, BBC Radio 1, Los 40 Spain, and RTL Berlin.

Heart UK turn up the feel good with ReelWorld

The UK's biggest commercial radio network, Heart, have updated their station sound with a jingle and imaging re-fresh created by the team at ReelWorld in Europe.

The Global station has been airing ReelWorld jingles since 2014 and the new sound includes more creative imaging elements as well as the distinctive Heart sonic logo.

ReelWorld Managing Director Anthony Gay commented: “It’s been an absolute pleasure to support the evolution of the Heart brand with this new audio branding. Our team had a lot of fun with the freedom the brief offered and the end result is filled with surprises whilst the signature Heart sonic logo still punches through.”

The Heart branding package follows on from new ReelWorld created jingle packages for BBC Radio Scotland, SLAM! in The Netherlands, and Sydney’s 2DAYFM. The ReelWorld team also created this year’s BBC Radio 1 Summer Mixes.

Berlin's hit music radio station - 104.6 RTL - has started 2019 with a jingle refresh from ReelWorld.

The station has worked with the team at ReelWorld for over 20 years developing an iconic jingle sound recognised across the German capital.

As well as themes for the station's daytime output, the package includes themes for the station's long running morning show - 'Arno und die Morgencrew'.

Martin Dumschat is the station's lead imaging producer - “It’s always a pleasure to work with the guys from ReelWorld! Our DJ’s love the new package, especially as it’s so easy to use!”

Paul Fernley leads ReelWorld's activity in Germany - "It's an honour to continue our relationship with 104.6 RTL in 2019. These new jingles mean the station always have a jingle theme to match the songs on their playlist."

Alongside 104.6 RTL, ReelWorld work with some of Germany's biggest radio brands including bigFM in Stuttgart, Bayern 3 in Bavaria and Charivari in Munich.

The package serves as a follow-up to their WZPL 2018 package and is based on the KRONEHIT 2020 package.  It sounds similar to their previous WKTU packages, energizing the sound of today's rhythmic CHR format. It consists of 8 main themes; 2 morning show themes; beds for news, traffic, weather, and promos; and an energetic top-of-the-hour theme.

Here are the ReelWorld ONE AC jingles recorded from the stream of 95.3 3WZ (WZWW/Bellefonte-State College, PA)!  This station is one of the latest to add ONE AC to their arsenal, receiving their Starter Pack in August 2020.

All jingles were recorded from the stream during the evening hours of Saturday, February 6 and the overnight and early morning hours of Sunday, February 7, 2021.  The Cores and Legal IDs are featured here and are sorted by update release date.  Enjoy!
