THE NEW SOUND OF URBAN CHR: NPO FUNX 2022
With a sound design update, the urban brand of Dutch public broadcaster NPO is entering the sunny season of ’22. A trendsetting new package for Urban Contemporary.

The imaging update includes a new Top & Bottom of Hour. 6 IDs were also produced, including a number of custom compositions.

After Sunlite and 100% NL, Dutch media company RadioCorp's third station has also chosen PURE Jingles. SLAM! has a completely new jingle package on air that may set a new standard for Rhythmic CHR.

As radio director, Martijn Zuurveen is responsible for all RadioCorp stations: “We have recently presented a new programming schedule and an upgraded brand story. Audio branding is part of that and extremely important for any station as it creates a large part of your brand identity.”


Energetic music mix

SLAM! was looking for audio styling that fits the Pop & Dance format, aimed at the core target group of men 20-40 years. “PURE Jingles has delivered a jingle package that fits perfectly with our energetic music mix, because at SLAM! the rhythm never stops!”, says content coordinator Raoul Schram. “After an intensive collaboration of several months, we came up with a renewed audio logo and rock-solid vocals.”


Positive energy

Martijn Zuurveen adds: “SLAM! stands for positive energy and you can hear and feel that in our audio branding. It’s completely in line with this time and with the taste of our target audience. The sound design can also be perfectly combined with our SLAM! promotions, such as Amsterdam Dance Event and our Formula 1 Month.”

ReelWorld creates fresh new sound for SLAM!  
 
Dutch radio station SLAM! have refreshed their sound this week with a new custom package from ReelWorld.
 
The station has worked alongside the ReelWorld team to create 10 new custom themes which reflect current chart sounds mixed with fresh new vocals. The package also sees the station introduce a brand new four-note sonic logo.
 
Anton van Lieshout is SLAM!'s Program Director - 'The guys at ReelWorld really understood our mission by bringing dance and pop music influences together to create a jingle package that really sounds like the music we play these days. It has been an awesome creative journey and we're really proud to bring it on the air here in The Netherlands.'
 
Sven van Dongen is the station's Imaging Producer - 'I'm so proud of the result! The sonic-logo is fast and epic. We had a nice collaboration & we are closely involved to the process. Together we brought SLAM! musically to a higher level!'
