I directly connect a guitar pickup and audio transducer using 1mm steel sheet. The resulting sound is an expression of the harmonic resonance of the materials.

In this track the guitar pickup is held by hand and slowly moved across the metal surface. We hear the ebb and flow of cycles of acoustic energy. We hear the sound of the work as a performance. But this is not the performance of music. It is a performance of breath and waiting.

Recorded by Rees Archibald on the 29th of November, 2022, in Wollongong, Australia using 6 Rode NT5 microphones.

Mixed by Rees Archibald in Düsseldorf, Germany, in mid 2023.

Mastered by Rashad Becker in Berlin, 2023.
