Solar: Relating to or determined by the sun.

I want to say thank you to everyone who has listened, supported, shared, and been a part of my project Solar. I have no words to describe how grateful I am for all of the kindness, love, and encouragement and to have been provided such a beautiful space to write this project in. Last weekend marked the completion of a 5 year idea. Between the initial spark of concept, through the writing and releasing of Lunar, and onto the writing and releasing of Solar. The amount of progression, growth, and change is wild. (I.E it took 2 years to write Lunar, Solar took less than 2 months.) To say that I am relieved that this idea is completed would be an understatement. The amount of roadblocks, struggles, stress, and lack of free time made me question if it would be completed in time for the Eclipse. I sacrificed so much for this project and literally drug it out to the absolute last moment. (Shout out to Torin @ Ascended Mastering for his patience and for knocking these out so close to the deadline) To wrap the project up by having the unforeseen opportunity to play Solar in its entirety during the Eclipse, with most of my closest friends, in the desert where I grew up, on one of the most beautiful sound systems in the country was beyond perfect and something I will never forget. Thankful to have shared that moment with those of you who were there. (Shoutout to Unify Mountain Soundz for making that a reality). A little unsure where everything heads from here, but looking forward to exploring more of and honing the techniques I learned during this project. In the meantime there will be some other things launching on November 8th!

Space Travel

“Hollow” is the brainchild of Benjamin Kolot and Anika Erickson who met in the Lamont School of Music’s Recording and Production program in Denver, Colorado. We first demoed in 2022 with vocals recorded in Erickson’s freshman dorm room and Kolot’s home studio, but developed into the musical duo’s first public collaboration and EDM debut. We strive to discover our sound as we bring our unique musical perspectives to the electronic scene, both coming from classical backgrounds.
“Hollow” explores the internal battle of low self esteem along with the struggle of feeling empty and alone even in a room full of people. The production process of creating the track served as an emotional outlet for the both of us throughout the year. This song was written in some of our darkest times but through creativity we have been allowed the opportunity channel our pain through music; we hope that this tune resonates with our listeners and helps them realize that when they are struggling they’re not alone.

I wrote this song a few years ago and somehow never got around to releasing it. Over the past few years I have written a lot of music and have spent more time producing tracks then anything else in regards to the REVS project. The song is hopefully the first of many to be released over the next few months and into the new year! 

"LOSE CONTROL" is a song about loss & redemption. Its about losing who you are as an individual but fighting to get back what you have lost. Never truly getting back to the exact version of who you were but becoming an improved, callused, stronger version of yourself. Someone that your proud of, someone that has navigated the waters of trauma back to a state of equilibrium and will never let anything knock them off balance again.
