028 - Primus Outpost

In a time not too long ago, HUMANS and MONSTERS coexisted.
Led by two brilliant scientists, one human and one monster, technology improved at an astonishing rate, and soon, AUTOMATONS were introduced.
But the monster scientist was overly ambitious, and made his robotic creations far too strong.
The AUTOMATONS massacred both HUMANS and MONSTERS.
In an aftermath of blood and dust, the monsters retreated out of pure shame.
Feeling guilty and fearing that some AUTOMATONS might follow, the MONSTERS hid in a cave system underneath a mountain, vowing to hide as long as necessary, and to never trust "artificial intelligence" ever again.

This is the Flowey replacement, Otto! They're an interesting little robot, with a lot to teach our hero about machines and morality. Not gonna lie, I love this lil' guy, no matter what anyone says. And yes, they are an alteration of the unused "98" robot.

004 - A Fresh New Face!

Aftergore is a series of AUs taking place after Undertale's neutral endings, in which a new human enters in Frisk's wake.
Aftergore III, the Exiled Queen ending, details an ending in which only Undyne and Asgore have been killed. Toriel tried to claim the throne, but threats of a coup quickly sent her back to the Ruins. Now the Underground is in a state of instability and semi-anarchy. Humans are to be treated as...well, it's unclear right now, but it's not good.

It'll be made clear later on why this sounds the way it does. If you're in the Aftergore Discord server, maybe you can figure it out. But we'll say this: it has nothing to do with Chara. After all, Star was made for someone else, not Chara.

So yes, Sans takes the role of Undyne. If you think this song is unfitting for its title or replacement, then you're exactly right! That is the idea. One thing's for sure, he may be fairly lax and friendly as usual, but he's not letting the automaton go without a fight. It's not entirely clear what his deal is with them, but he certainly doesn't trust them.
