Italian-born and London-based DJ Desireè draws heavy inspiration from the city’s underground scene. Her sets are defined by hypnotic, eerie sounds combined with pounding, groovy rhythms. 

As the founder of “Extraterrestrial Desire,” a podcast channel focused on sci-fi, ambient, and electronic soundscapes, and co-founder of the London-based collective “Polyritmica,” Desireè demonstrates her deep passion and dedication to the scene. 

This has secured her spots on lineups across the globe at some of the best underground clubs, including FOLD, Tresor, TES, Corsica studios. 

Desireè’s goal is to delve into unexplored emotions and perceptions, guiding dancers through rituals that transport them to another dimension.

Tie down and re-experience D-Leria's unparalleled live performance at Masada for Closer's 9th birthday celebrations!

Sonic virtuoso in the studio and chaos creator on the dancefloor, D-Leria embarked on his musical journey in 2001. Rooted in the Hardcore scene, he launched the D-Leria project in 2014 and briefly after he took on a dual role as an artist and manager at Delirio record label, where he curated a space for avant-garde talents with a focus on authentic live recording.

Bringing with him a towering array of synthesizers, D-Leria showcased his technical and artistic mastery in Masada’s living room, seamlessly fusing raw energy and meticulous sound design, with each modulation and frequency shift painting a vivid sonic landscape. What unfolded was a pure crescendo of emotions that built up with precision and intensity: deep, resonant frequencies intertwined with ethereal melodies, creating waves of tension and release that left the audience in awe. The synergy between artist and machine reached its peak, an image that echoed long after the final sound faded, forever imprinted in our memories.

When I found out that my friend @jason.etal had recorded almost the whole set in his phone, I couldn’t resist and I decided to include the voices and everything was happening live (in the background) as part of the recording - the raw vibe of the room.

From Europe’s southern tip in the Gibraltar-facing port city of Algeciras comes ORBE, the Spanish techno enthusiast whose potent beats have hammered out a pedigree path both as DJ and producer. Prevailing winds carried Fernando Sanz first to Seville to study sound engineering, later to Madrid where the fertile scene allowed him to build a community of music-minded friends that have put that city squarely on the map. Under these conditions, his work (what he terms a means of ‘contacting the future, the avant-garde’) has developed into something much deeper and more sophisticated. His love of artists like Brian Eno and Boards of Canada, and roots in breakbeat and drum and bass have informed a style that’s allowed him to take up the mantle as one of Spain’s most interesting talents. Under his self-titled record label (est. 2014) come his signature killer tunes, and in his work with names like Eduardo de la Calle and labels like Token, Hivern Discs, Axis and Mote Evolver a pole position at the forefront of modern techno. Fresh off his set on the Bassiani floor (14th March) comes this next Bassiani mix. Tensile rhythms that lurch ahead with supernatural power, an involute web of intelligent sounds that attest to his skill as selector. Bassiani Podcast 254 is an hour-long mash up of elfin beats, a vibrating hymn to the sounds of tomorrow, Orbe at the top of his game.

Yax is a techno DJ based in Adelaide, Australia, with a decade of experience behind the decks. His sound draws inspiration from the deep, groovy, hypnotic techno of the '90s and early '00s, fused with a contemporary edge. Influenced by artists like DVS1, Donato Dozzy, and Jeff Mills, Yax crafts sets that emphasize tension, groove, and long-form storytelling.
In 2021, he launched Yax Invites — a podcast dedicated to showcasing underground techno talent from around the world. Now surpassing 200 episodes, the series laid the foundation for him to begin promoting his own events: starting with an outdoor rave in 2023, followed by a string of techno nights called Paranoia at Sugar Nightclub. Notable international guests have included Decoder (US) and Carmen Electro (DE).
