Chasing Kurt is a newborn deephouse project from Gießen / Germany - a collaboration between Pascal Blanché, Wojtek Kutschke and Lukas Poloczek. Pascal and Wojtek, both deephouse lovers for long years, started doing their first tracks but always had the need of a lovely vocal for their songs. Wojtek, himself DJ for a long time, one day played in his hometown - at the same time Lukas worked at a bar in this location and after Wojteks set he was singing some phrases while closing the bar – Wojtek heard his voice and asked Lukas if he would like to jam together. The track “Daydream“ was the result of their first improvised jam session in Pascals small homestudio. The Kurts were overhelmed about it and found themselves to be good men for doing more of this.

DJ, producer, remixer and promoter from Warsaw with over ten years of experience. Over the years he shared decks with a big guns of music industry like Danny Howells, Nic Fanciulli, Guy Gerber, Oxia, James Zabiela, Robert Dietz, Noir, Nick Curly, Mario Basanov & Vidis, Nick Warren or Pete Tong to name a few. 
At first he started to release his own productions under Simon.S alias. His debut remix was released together with The Buick Project (Nic Fanciulli & Andy Chaterley) on a British imprint SIC Recordings back in 2007. From that moment he appeared on labels such as Big & Dirty, Starlight Music, Uberbeat or Sandy Rivera’s Blackwiz Records. 
The beginning of 2011 brings a new music ideas as well as a new artist name. Simon starts to perform and produce under Simon Mattson umbrella working his way up towards new releases. Consequent and persistent in what he does best his music gets bigger attention followed now by releases on respected labels including legendary Strictly Rhythm, Defected Records, Rebirth, Lo:Rise (Defected sublabel), Cubsim, Beef Records or Agoria’s InFine Music with a remix for well known dj & producer Oxia. Alongside all releases his tracks got included many great compilations like Defected In The House Brazil '11, Pacha Ibiza Southamerican Sessions, Space Ibiza Closing Fiesta, Island Balearic Sundown Sessions, Defected presents Most Rated Ibiza 2012 or Bargrooves Deeper 2.0 gaining him more reputation within his field. With huge support from many known artists including Mendo, Gorge, Oxia, Djuma Soundsystem or Sandy Rivera, tracks regularly charted and his last remix of Oxia still being in Top5 Bestsellers of Agoria’s InFine Music label after more than a year from the release Simon Mattson has definitely got attention from music industry.

Thats all what it took for a young Christian Nielsen to fall deeply in love with the (at the time) unknown ''4 to the floor''. It didn't take long before his brand new DJ bag was filled with Kerri, Jimpster, Mr. V, Master At Work, Larry Heard, Moodymann, Frankie Knuckles and many more. 

All that was left was another push. This time, the push came from within. With his new Macbook, Christian started his journey that has now resulted into where he is today.

Kia grew up in the Rhein-Main area in Hessen,Germany. At a very young age she was already interested in going out and had her first contact with electronic music in different clubs in Frankfurt. It didn`t take long for her to realize that it wouldn`t be enough to just listen or dance to this sound. Kia decided to do something and become one of the unfortunately very few Djanes.
Her style is to be situated somewhere between House and Techno. To her the most important is the good selection of tracks in her set. She loves to look for records in second hand shops, record stores or in the internet for hours. In her environment she had great support from Vera and Dorian Paic (Robert Johnson). During that time Kia could learn a lot and managed to develop her own style.

Matchy & Bott belong to a newly emerging scene of Young artists crowding into the steadily crowing Nu-Disco /Deep House Scene. SKAI started as a DJ in Wiesbaden in the 90's and in the following years he was responsible for the sound of the trendy club 50grad in Mainz. With his colleague Amir he founded the successful DJ-Team "Groove Rebels" and he played at the top clubs of the republic. It followed a lot of releases and remixes as well as a trip to the club scene of Vancouver. SKAI is the mastermind behind "Re:Fresh", he was a resident at the Cocoon Club, at New Basement in Wiesbaden and he counts with this impulsive Deep/Techouse sound to one of the most active DJ of the region. As a workaholic he refines his ideas with several co-operation partners to create Deep- & Tech-House based club music.

Having finally broken through into the public conscious thanks to productions like Reminisce on Get Physical, Feelings on Mobilee and Got To Live on OFF as well as others on labels like Noir and Defected, Tapesh has become very much in demand around the world, taking his flamboyant DJ sets to clubs like Cocoon in Frankfurt, Warung in Brazil and Studio 80 in the Netherlands. With multi-cultural roots informed by everything from house to breakdance across scenes in UK, US and Europe, Tapesh has fomented a very unique DJ style that takes in plenty of sounds and knits them together into one grater whole. Mario was born in Hanover in 1985 and started djing at the age of 15. After his first successful gigs in his hometown he was sure that electronic music was going to be a permanent fixture in his life. When he turned 19 and with this mindset, he started working as a trainee at a local record shop ("Street Sounds") in order to expand his musical knowledge. In 2013 his focus was more on originals - releases on Gorge's label Katchuli, the new berlin-based label WellDone! and Colourful Recordings were following. But for sure he was still remixing as well - For labels like Peppermint Jam, Steyoyoke, Cyclic, Simple As That, Telekollegen and Bubbles On The Air just to name a few! When Markus Homm started going to his first House parties, the likes of Beatport and Myspace hadn’t even been thought of. Born in 1980, Marcus was 15 years old when he became infected with electro music and subse- quently got his hands on a turntable. He then began to seek out the latest releases at the record store and also by asking local DJ’s the identity of the tracks that had kept him dancing late into the night. Markus Homm’s music is in a constant state of development, always searching for, and finding the most compelling groove. This diverse musical direction has led Homm & Popoviciu to successful releases with various labels, including their home label Highgrade Records, and Diynamic Music.
As a Producer and DJ he moves consistently forward and continues his playful exploration of the tensions between music and body, while working on his own unique and very special musical success story.

R|Y|M Podcast 121: Smalltown Collective

For many years Re:Fresh Your Mind (R|Y|M) has been a pillar of subcultural development in the Rhine-Main area and on a national level mainly focusing on event organization. Though the events have expended lately not only in Frankfurt but also on a national level due to its musical diversity and generally speaking because of its openness towards changes in the scene.  Understandably Re:Fresh Your Mind is conceived as a platform for a subcultural exchange between artists and music lovers initiated by SKAI and his Re:Fresh family, which include a few well respected DJs. With the label-launch of R|Y|M Records earlier this year Re:Fresh Your Mind-basis enhanced its reputation in the scene and takes another step in its development. Therefore, Frankfurt based SKAI teamed up with Gorge, who is well respected for his solo-productions and of course his works with Nick Curly. You never know what to expect next, but be sure it won't be anything you can be certain about when talking about R|Y|M - Re:Fresh Your Mind.
