Welcome to the Refugee Youth Podcast, a platform dedicated to sharing the stories and experiences of refugees living in Uganda.  
This podcast aims to give a voice to those who have been silenced and forgotten. Through personal stories and interviews with experts, we hope to shed light on the challenges and triumphs that refugees face every day. As we all know, the world is facing an unprecedented refugee crisis, with over 79.5 million people forcibly displaced from their homes. Uganda is currently home to over 1.4 million refugees, the majority of whom have fled conflict and persecution in South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Burundi.

Some of the beneficiaries of the ASKnet project , MentorHer project, a collaboration between the Youth Empowerment Foundation (YEF) and the Creative Innovation Centre (CIC) under the #ASKnet initiative, is transforming lives in Pagirinya Refugee Settlement, Adjumani District. Targeting 50 young women, the project equips participants with vital media, electronics repair, and communication skills, empowering them to pursue STEAM-related opportunities and improve their livelihoods.
