Po epoce niedoborów PRLu obywatele III RP chłonęli niedostępne wcześniej wytwory zachodniej kultury, ale tworzyli również swoje, nawiązujące do pierwowzorów w mniej lub bardziej udany sposób. Właśnie te „niedoróbki”, pierwsze rodzime podejścia do muzycznych nurtów takich jak hip-hop, house, techno, italo disco czy w ogóle szeroko pojętej muzyki elektronicznej DJ Duch dokumentuje w „Labiryncie Śmierci”.

Znajdziemy tu powolny trance, wczesny trip-hop, proto-rap, hybrydy disco-polo, ambient, el-muzykę czy yass przegrane z trudno dziś już dostępnych kaset i płyt CD. Mix uzupełniony o projekt graficzny Kornela Nurzyńskiego oddaje klimat epoki pełnej fascynacji horrorami klasy B, tanią literaturą grozy i doniesieniami o „rękach, które leczą”. Ponad godzinny zapis muzyczny nawiązuje do „Duchologii” Olgi Drendy, „Krainy Grzybów” Wiktora Striboga, zabiera słuchacza w nostalgiczną podróż do lat 90. ale przede wszystkim rzuca nowe światło na zapomnianą dziś i niedocenioną dotychczas muzykę tamtego okresu.
