This release will have you dancing and crying at the same time. On his debut album, Paris-based producer and founder of the ‘raw poetry’ aesthetic Loyce Demellier - AKA DJ Physical - takes us on a fast-paced journey through techno, electro, breaks and more. Whilst the music’s indisputable home is the club, Physical teases out moments of playfulness and sentimentality amongst hard-hitting electronics.

‘Silver Lake’ LP resides on the colder, more industrial side of Demellier’s sonic spectrum, following on from his latest release on London imprint 1Ø PILLS MATE which saw him depart from the more lofi quality of his previous releases in favour of a raw, club-focused sound. On the A-side, Demellier situates the release within the context of old warehouse raves, with euphoric acid melodies and a 140BPM propulsion (‘Uranium’); and high-pitched synth stabs that ascend from darkness (‘Gold Mines’). The B-side maintains the pace, but this time it’s about electro and breaks. On ‘Overshoot’, reverberating cymbals add another layer of depth to Amen break interludes whilst ‘Lawbreaker’ harnesses a cheekier tone, offering respite from the previous tracks’ venom.

This air of playfulness sticks around on ‘Lunatic State’ helped by MPC drum claps and a ludic electro melody, before fellow Parisian Ika Sile steps up for ‘Early Sprinter’ and ‘Bootybounce’: the former offering a slicker take on acid techno and the latter: rave music at its absolute with piano stabs and sleazy vocal chops

After the release of his critically acclaimed debut album last year, Regal is back on his own imprint Involve Records with reworks of two timeless, legendary techno anthems along with the remasters of the originals: Acid War by D.O.M. and Benozal by UMEK.

Regal’s rework of the techno classic Acid War by D.O.M. gives the original a twist and perfectly lives up to its name with an anthem-like acid line that blows of the roofs of warehouses it can be played at. Up next is a remake of UMEK’s Benozal - a groovy and hypnotic banger perfect for sweaty bunkers. Stay Up Forever hit Acid War opens the back side, an ageless Acid classic from 1994 celebrating its 28th birthday this year. Closing the EP is the remaster Benozal, the B-side of UMEK’s third Primate Recordings EP, a trippy techno jewel from 2001.

Involve Records proudly announces the upcoming release, Talkative Tools - a cutting-edge EP by the dynamic duo Blame The Mono. The EP kicks off with "Pane Smasher," combining dark techno beats with futuristic grooves and soundscapes. The track's unique character is further enhanced by distorted reggae vocal shots, leading to a break dominated by an amen break-based drum and bass rhythm. Keeping the pace up, "Dump The Dealer," an elaborate, detail-rich track that showcases Blame The Mono's mastery in sound design, follows. Following his critically acclaimed album "Remember Why You Started", the album’s remix packs which featured legends like Ellen Allien, Slam, Thomas P. Heckmann and Boston 168 revisiting Regal’s creations and a bunch of reworks of legendary techno tracks, the Spanish techno master is back on track with an EP showcasing his dynamic range.

The opening track "Push It" kicks off with vibrant hard groove and Hi-NRG influences, reviving an iconic old-school vocal from 1986, masterfully integrating 80’s breaks and modern sound design with synth leads to capture the essence of a timeless hit. The title track "Not Another Summer“ follows with a deep, slowed vocal chop, setting a rich, compelling tone. The dynamic bassline and the rolling groove, punctuated by classic chord stabs, robotic sci-fi effects and interlaced vocal fragments, craft a lively, engaging dance experience.

The mood shifts in "2009 En El Desierto“, where an evolving bassline and a stomping kick drum lay the foundation for an old-school techno banger. Tribal bongos infuse a mystical layer, blending with a distinctively chopped vocal that harks back to the nostalgic beats of Spain's legendary Monegros Festival in 2009. "Snatch" closes up the EP with warmth and vibrancy. A stutter-effect female vocal melds into the groove, enhanced by futuristic suspense-building sound effects. X erie is an established underground techno label from Spain owned by Horacio Cruz, which has an extensive back catalogue including artists such as Alexander Kowalski, Mark Broom, Gary Beck, Tensal and more.

Uncertain is an Austrian artist who is also known for the music he has released under his classic alias of Boriqua Tribez, and he has released on respected record labels such as Truncate Records, Radio Slave's RSPX, Mark Broom's Beard Man, and Marco Faraone's UNCAGE, amongst others.

For this DT:Premiere we selected the lead track "Advice" that has an up-tempo driving sound. The shuffling percussion is raw and gritty yet expertly precise, and the jabbing notes add to the purist techno sound that creates a sonic onslaught ready for ripping the dance floor.
