LIGHT THE LIGHTS - written and produced by Reg & Lynne Dickson
This song was written in 1996 to raise money for the maintenance of Rockwood Centre
Heritage House. We gathered a group of lovely folks and recorded the song in the sanctuary of
St John’s United Church . All proceeds to the Rockwood Centre. This song has become a
perennial favourite here on the coast as well as other parts of the world.

Light the Lights

In 1989 we decided to write a Christmas album and record it with our friend Michelle Bruce. We
wrote most of the songs ourselves and saved enough money for one day at Bullfrog Recording
studios in Vancouver.
Three weeks before the recording date we found out that some of the parodies we had written
were not allowed as we did not have permission to use the melodies. This forced us to write 6
new tunes in three weeks. It was fast, furious and fun.
We released the album in late November and it was very popular. To this day we have people
asking for the cd ( it was recorded on cassette) . Here it is now for you to enjoy!
