Turbulence & Reggae Vibes Music Promote Jamaica As An Ideal Vacation Destination

After the success of the recently released For Me video, Turbulence and Reggae Vibes Music have once again joined forces on another single. The new record is dubbed Jamaica Holiday, and as the name implies it is all about promoting the island of Jamaica as an ideal vacation destination.

As we have come to expect from Reggae Vibes Music, Jamaica Holiday is a rich musical track that was created by Dan Grossman and his team at their studio in Seattle, Washington. The sweet reggae beat is complemented by Turbulence's melodious lead vocals (that were recorded at Wasp's studio in Cassava Piece), as well as Stephanie Hava's backing vocals. 

When asked what is the inspiration behind this song, Turbulence said: "well that inspiration is coming from the riddim first, cause the riddim have that kind of flavor. It just feels like something you are passionate about and I am passionate about Jamaica and how beautiful Jamaica is; and the vibe and ambiance that Jamaica brings."

Reggae Vibes' CEO and owner, Marlon Folkes, have stated that though Jamaica Holiday is being shared as a single right now, it will be featured on a rhythm-driven project at a later date. Folkes also took the opportunity to say that the entire Reggae Vibes Music team is driven by their "love of music and a firm belief that quality music always stands the test of time."

Reggae Vibes Music Shares New Single By Sizzla Kalonji
At the end of August Reggae Vibes Music will release the Rock All Riddim, a thirteen-track reggae compilation featuring some of the most respected artists in the reggae-dancehall industry. 

The project will have new music from Sizzla Kalonji, Jah Cure, Lutan Fyah, Turbulence, Bescenta, Fiyaneer, Richie Spice, Anthony B, Dreama, Powerman, Snatcha Lion, Kendallaz and Rufftop Rock I. 

The lead single, Get Out A Babylon System, which is performed by Sizzla, was made public last week and has been getting nothing but positive reviews, particularly from music critics. As he is known to do, Kalonji delivers a strong message to the youths, advising them to become independent and self reliant. Hence the title, Get Out A Babylon System.

Reggae star Turbulence has transformed a social media-based, a cappella tribute to his mother, Vivalee Green, into an official song titled ' A Tribute to Mama'.   

He said, "It was a moment of reflection. I did the a cappella as a tribute to my own mother, a woman who is my lifegiver, my ' viva' (which translates from Spanish and Italian to the English 'to live'). There was a lot of feedback, and then Marlon (Folkes) of Reggae Vibes (music label) say to me, 'No sah, my mother nuh gone, but it touch me', and created a beat for it."

Turbulence, given name Sheldon Ryan Augustus Campbell, said it has been hard coming to terms with his mother's death. Green, who was diabetic, passed away last July.

FEELING HER SPIRIT
"I can't stop thinking about my old lady," Turbulence told THE WEEKEND STAR, "She is still in my memory. I can still hear her calling out 'Ryan!' So I am not going one day without feeling her spirit, which was one of positivity."

He said that when she was alive, he always showed her gratitude by way of the quality of music he put out.

"So now, doing a track for her when she gone, it kinda thump yuh in yuh face; more so as a youth who, if me have a problem, me a race go home for her to tell me what to do," he said.

He described his mother as a good 'area leader', the type who ensured persons in the community would have food when they knocked on her door.

"My mother taught me to look out for myself and always be safe in my actions, and that's what I want the people to do right now - the citizens, the artistes - we need more songs for motivation, to touch the heart. Some have a heart beating in the chest, but are neglectful of it. When you do things with emotion it is even better," he said.

Jah Mason Adds His Voice To The Popular
World Rebirth Riddim From Reggae Vibes Music

At the beginning of the summer U.S. based record label, Reggae Vibes Music, released the 'World Rebirth Riddim.' The ten-track compilation features music from several top-tier reggae artists, namely: Lutan Fyah, Tony Curtis, Yami Bolo, Turbulence, Anthony B, Jah Cure, Powerman and Ginjah; as well as emerging talent Rufftop Rock I.

With songs from the project still trending on reggae platforms all over the world, Jah Mason is now adding his voice to the rhythm. The new song, titled "Mama Struggle," is a tribute to his mother who he applauds for her commitment to hard work - specifically in farming - despite numerous challenges and roadblocks.

"Mama Struggle" officially comes out today, Friday, December 18th. It can now be streamed and downloaded from all digital music stores. This is now the second mother tribute song on the album following Turbulence's "Tribute to Mama," which was one of the lead singles.

Since the 'World Rebirth Riddim' first came out, Reggae Vibes Music have ran various promotional campaigns to ensure its success. Most recently they held a mixtape contest involving selectors from all over the world. As a result of their ongoing efforts the 'World Rebirth Riddim' is now widely regarded as one of the biggest reggae rhythm-driven projects so far in 2020.
