This is rather my own interpretation than cover.
In my opinion this is one of the most underestimated songs of all times. I only got to know about this song thanks to my friend who had told me about it.

RAJAZ, CAMEL, sort of instrumental cover

Well, I found another version of this song. Interesting to compare to the version I posted before. This version would have been recorded a little later when we lived in an apt together after college and played out as a duo a bit. If I remember right this is more of a live sound capture with little to no overdubs (?). We are both playing and singing here and the sound quality is a little better. Still on a Tascam cassette.  Just posting these for fun and I think sometimes it is interesting to hear different versions of a song recorded over time.

W-Three Wise Man of Gotham

Title track of the soundtrack inspired by Paul Kingsnorth's novel, "The Wake". Buccmaster is an Anglo-saxon freeman living in the fens. He's an insufferably proud and opinionated man whose life is disrupted by portents of doom. His world is about to be entirely shattered by the Norman invasion. 

I used a Fender Jazz Bass for the heavy riffing; it works great with modern metal amps. There's a Duesenberg Paloma lead guitar put through a highly unstable metal amp in the mix... you hear it struggling to keep a note at the end - I can't decide whether or not to change it!

Mill Lane is our temporary rehearsal space this year - located in the nth suburbs of Hobart its a huge warehouse that is in the process of being emptied of museum equipment. Each week the space gets bigger and more cathedral like as the crates go out the roller door. Heres a little taste from the other night.. you will need to excuse me on 2 fronts - My zoom seems to be reaching the end of its life so the recordings is pretty scratchy and 2 I reckon i am a bit out of tune... anyway the energy is good and the ears locked in to what the other musician is doing which I guess is the main thing. Introduction in English:

Recently I met a friend who spent a month in Crete earlier this year. 
As he told me about his wanderings there, I again remembered a drastic experience I had during my stay in Crete thirty years ago. 
During my expeditions through the bare Cretan mountains at that time, I met a young man who had been living in a cave for some time, completely isolated from the world. 
We walked together for a while. He told me that he suffered from psychotic delusions with inner voices torturing him. 
The secluded life here in the mountains would help him to deal with these powerful and alienating voices. 
Nevertheless, he longed so much for a release from this "voice terror". 
When I wanted to visit him again the next day, he was nowhere to be found. 
In all these years I thought of him from time to time, especially since I also meet people here in Berlin again and again who suffer from similar psychotic confusions. 
With this song I try to put myself in the place of these people who suffer so terribly and are still largely misunderstood

I’m happy to post this song with help from my first SC friend https://soundcloud.com/espere-verde, who encouraged me on to improve my music making from a very start. Good musician & draughtsman (he did this artwork too), his vocal performance here gave the mood I couldn’t to the song.

Technical highlights:
>Most vocals: Espere Verde
>Music & almost no vocals: Ruizzoidman
>Odd patterns hidden along three levels in this track: amalgamated psycho-hard coating, usual 7/2 in punk/ska intermediate parts, and finally the sweater core is structured in groups of five measures.

Lyrics: strangely, I wrote about these stressing things when I was 21 and supposedly happy; I'd say similarly today I'm twice as old...
