George Claassen, aka G-Class, was schooled in the roots of Jungle from birth; his father was an avid Reggae & Dancehall record collector. By the time he was 18, G Class was remixing Dancehall classics, and moving on to his own productions.

Inspired by Chase & Status, Shy FX & Benny Page, his remix of Konshens' Guerilla scored no.3 in the Hypedit chart, followed by the no.1 smash, 'Pon De Replay Bootleg' by Rihanna, released on Invicta.

Never one to sit still, as the 23 year old forges his Jungle career, he’s also studying Music Production at Leed Conservatoire.

The Cool Down EP contains four slabs of immaculately produced Jungle, collaborating with Italian vocalist Efno on ‘Music Tun Up’ and some of the South West’s hottest talent; Junior Dog jumps on 'Sidung', Mad Sam runs 'Murda Sound', and Vanda steps up for ‘Cool Down’.

Music has been my way of coping with social anxiety for as long as I can remember. I realized early on that I could drive a conversation by asking what someone listened to. No matter what their answer was, I could find enough common ground to break the ice and fuel a conversation. 

When I started making music, I think it was a continuation of the same thing. In high school, I would spend my weekends alone in a dark room learning what an oscillator is or what compression does - unless I was at my drummer's house writing rock music with my band. 

Music was there for me when I felt most alone, and it's also been there when I've felt most fulfilled. Through the highs and the lows I've felt an ever-present and unbreakable pull to music - something deeper than passion, closer to love... an Eternal Affinity
