This song was created a few months before my life was dramatically changed. I was well aware of my current state, being addicted to unhealthy substances around every corner. Not wanting to confront it, it built up more and more pressure in me until finally my mental state was directly affected by it. Listening back on the song now, it takes me back to a very different life than the one I live now. Having changed my life, the songs that followed this song up have a very different tone to them. Addiction was unfortunately an extremely large part of my life, and it was destroying me faster than I could comprehend. When I decided on a title for the track, that wasn’t what was in my mind though. It was through someone close to me suffering from addiction that gave me the idea.

TV Girl has added vocals and a new arrangement to Monster Rally's track 'Blame' off of the Beyond the Sea LP.

'Average Guy' is being released in anticipation of TV Girl and Monster Rally's very special performances in Los Angeles (4/27 at the Bootleg) and San Diego (5/25 at Soda Bar).
