Sometimes in life you have to stop, think about how far you've come and congratulate yourself. This is exactly why I created 'Lately'. 

One day I was thinking of a new song to write, then I started thinking about how I have more strangers that support me than people I know. I also began reflecting on how far I have came and I need to support and believe in myself.

Closer was inspired by the classic song "Closer Than Friends" by the group Surface. I wanted to make my own version with a modern spin to it. In this song I talk about growing closer with my wife and sticking together through this crazy life!

In this song, I sampled 'Midnight Pretenders' by Tomoko Aran for the main melody and created the rest of the beat around it. This song dives into having someone special in your life that is always there with you and by you no matter what. You could at the lowest of low in your life and that person will still always be there for you. If you have someone like this in your life then never let them go!

"Beautiful" is a track made for Reiko's wife to let her know how beautiful she is inside and out, but also a song to let all women around the world know that they are all beautiful just the way they were created. This song was written, recorded, produced and engineered by Reiko Moss and with feature backup vocals from his sister Maya Soraye.

Reiko Moss is an artist that stands out due to not only being able to rap, but he can sing, produces his own songs and engineers them. Reiko comes every time with thought provoking and meaningful lyrics that detail love, real life, his experiences as well as his hardships. Both sentimental and aggressive, he makes music with the intention of motivating and inspiring his listeners to love, to live, to never give up on life and to not quit on their dreams. 

Reiko was born in Colorado Springs, Colorado where he lived most of his life, but also lived in McMinnville, Oregon to play football and attend college. He studied Psychology for 3 years until he decided to drop out in 2015 because he wasn’t fulfilled and happy with what he was doing. He then finished out his junior year and moved back home to find his true passion in life. He had always loved Rap and R&B music since a young boy and had dreams of being an artist, but never pursued music due to his father pushing him to play football while being an old-school man that believed college, sports or the military were the only reasonable means of making a living in life.

In 2015, Reiko decided to go against the grain of his family’s beliefs and follow his love of expressing himself through music. He started out making beats on an app on he smart phone and only stuck to being a producer for fear of being judged for what he had to say in his songs. He made beats and would sell some here and there but selling beats never really took off for him and he felt like he needed more education to learn both the music and business side. Reiko then enrolled into Full Sail University in the bachelor’s degree program for Audio Production in 2017. He graduated with his bachelor’s degree in September of 2019 and went back for his master’s degree the same month for Entertainment Business. He is on track to graduate Full Sail again in Fall of 2020.

To get more music out to his fans and build his brand, Reiko is currently working on a project. The project set to release in the summer of 2020, is titled "DreamLion." The project is showing off more of Reiko's lyrical skills as he raps about both the beautiful and ugly sides of chasing his dreams. Reiko has gotten over the fear of putting his own voice out to the world and has gained close to 100,000 streams on Spotify, was placed on Clout Indie, Top 50 Indie and Hip Hop Gen Spotify playlists and has reached over 700k streams on SoundCloud.
