A little Impro Session i did last year processing my voice through a multi effect pedal box with a phrase loop in there - Resulted in some atmospherical wandering off which reminded me of the character ReKi from the wonderful Japanese Anime Series called 'Haibane Renmei' (adapted from his own doujinshi by Yoshitoshi ABe)

ENSEMBLE17 består av fem masterstudenter ved Norges Musikkhøgskole. Med saksofonisten Reindert Spanhoves komposisjoner som utgangspunkt, rører ensemblet borti alt fra friimpro og jazz til samtidsmusikken. Deres forkjærlighet for myke, melankolske melodier og dunkle atmosfærer kommer tydelig frem i musikken.

ENSEMBLE17 is a band formed by five Master students at the Norwegian Academy of Music. Using the compositions of the Belgian Saxophone player Reindert Spanhove as a foundation, this ensemble will touch upon anything between free impro, jazz and contemporary classical music, with a heart for softly melancholic melodies and dark, hazy atmospheres.
