Far Horizons

Here's my cover of one of my favorite tracks from the movie "The Lord of the Rings : The Two Towers". It was composed by Howard Shore and could be heard when Eowyn and all the citizens of Edoras made it to Helm's Deep. The end, which is pretty emotional, was played when Eowyn thought Aragorn was killed during the wargs' attack.
As usual, EVERYTHING was done BY EAR, and every single sound/note you hear was played by myself with a Yamaha NP-V80 keyboard. Sorry if there's any mistake then ! :)

This video is dedicated to my Dad, because he loves this song and today is his birthday. Happy birthday Dad! 

My piano version of the main theme from the movie, The Dark Knight Rises. I recorded this with four piano parts, just like my "Encom Part II" multi-piano cover from Tron. This song is epic to the max, so I attempted to arrange an epic version with only piano.

Story
Papua Origin
In the times when the sky did not yet know the names of the stars, the land of Papua slept under a blanket of silence. There were no men or women, only trees that whispered secrets to the wind and turtles that dreamed in circles on the sand.

One night, the Great Dove descended from the mountain of clouds, carrying in her breast three eggs of light. She laid them at the root of a sacred tree, whose branches touched the sky and whose roots drank from the heart of the earth. From one of the eggs hatched a woman's figure; her skin was soft bark, her hair dancing leaves, and her voice echoed the rains. The tree recognized her as its daughter and taught her to listen to the language of the plants.

The second egg opened in the damp earth, and from it emerged a man, his body made of red clay, his eyes like shining stones. The earth embraced him as its son and taught him to read the paths of the river and to understand the pulse of the volcanoes.

The third egg did not hatch. On its shell, the elders drew figures with charcoal powder and sprinkled the blood of a sacred fish. From these marks, the spirit of the people was born: neither man nor woman, but memory. That spirit taught humans to sing, to tell stories, to remember that we all come from something older than ourselves.

Since then, the tribes of Papua say that women carry in their souls the wisdom of the trees, and men the power of the earth. But all, without exception, are born of mystery: from celestial eggs, from sacred drawings, from singing blood.
